Is the rumor about THC in genetically altered tomatoes a real thing or is it a hoax?
Q: I have recently seen an ad for some genetically altered tomatoes. They claim to have spliced the gene the makes THC from cannabis into a tomato. Is this possible? or is this just one of those hoaxes? Their website is http://users2.50megs.com/tomahigk. Can you find anything about this and let me know. thanx

A: As far as we know, this (as well as the one about THC in oranges) is a hoax. While theoretically possible, this has not been done yet, and would take many years and many millions of dollars of research to do.
