What form does 5-MeO-DMT have to be in to be smoked?
Q: What form does 5-MeO-DMT have to be in to be smoked? HCL salt?

A: No, it actually needs to be in freebase form. Most tryptamines in salt form (HCl or other salts) will burn up if you try to smoke them - though you may get some slight effects, much of the material will just be destroyed by the heat. Tryptamine salts are suitable for oral use (if the drug is orally active), injection or snorting. For smoking or vaporizing, freebase forms are most commonly used. The freebase form can also be taken orally or snorted, though they may be too basic to be suitable for injection.
