How long after ingesting LSD is it safe to breast feed?
Q: Help! I recently went to a party and ate a sweet tart that I later found out had LSD on it. I didn't trip at all only got a body high. The problem? I am breast feeding. How long should I wait before it is safe to breast feed again?

A: To the best of our knowledge, this issue has never been formally studied, however LSD is metabolized fairly quickly in the body. While any trace amounts would most likely be gone from breast milk within a day (24 hours), to be safe, you might want to give yourself at least 2 days to allow it to pass. You may also want to pump and discard whatever milk was produced during this time.

See the list below for additional resources on how long various drugs stay in breast milk.
