Comment: oday I'm going to try some writing. Most of the stuff I have written in the past has been abstract poetry and weird thoughts. What I am going to do today is write a story about my experience of psychosis.

It was October 2001 when I first tripped out. I later found out it was a drug induced psychosis. I was smoking choof as I usually did. I was kicking back doing some writing. Since I had just turned twenty one I was experimenting with all sorts of pills. I had been to a rave about two days ago and had a good MDMA based pill so I didn't sleep much over about three days. I had drunk a countless number of beers and three bottles of Bundaberg in about a week. For some reason I was drinking shitloads of coffee and staying up all night writing down all the weird thoughts that came into my head.

One of my drug associates had been giving me all sorts of pills and on this occasion he gave me three different pills. I didn't know what they were. One thing I remember him saying was not to mix them up.

So what did I do next? I chopped up some dope and crushed the pills. At first I tried a few snow cones. It took a few minutes to effect me, so I mixed up the pills into my choof and continuted to smoke. The next thing I remember was putting my hands over my heart, it was beating unusually fast. Then the hallucinations started, I saw spiders and bugs everywhere. I didn't know why but I chucked my drug cocktail out, not something I would normally do.

I was scared and paranoid. For some reason I couldn't open the back door. When I did open the door the hallucinations got much worse, I could see balls of light coming towards me. I had just read in the Geelong Advertiser about a meteor shower, which I think helped to trip me out. Eventually I had enough courage to go outside. I could feel the balls of light hit me. Then I saw a big light just over the side fence, I ran back inside. I thought I was seeing God or an Angel. I was inside and starting to see spiders again, but it was more comfortable than being outside. I thought to myself, I'm only tripping this isn't real...

As I walked outside again I thought I heard someone running around the side of our house. At the time I was living with my father and a shaman dude who was a Federal Police Informant. He was working at a take-away shop in Geelong and had to get up early. I had a fight with him, he was a very light sleeper and was angry as I kept waking him up. I thought he was doing black maj

Read them STRAIGHT, without the cliche "I was amazed" promotionals. You'll find that the straight, actual events, as recorded, sound like something out of a B-movie or a bad novel! Comment: In your analysis of the UDV decision you state that "the government must show, for instance, that the use of hoasca poses a seriour threat to its users. . ." In fact that is not true. The fact that jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, climbing a mountain, diving into the water, skiing down a mountain, driving a car or any other of many activities poses a threat of bodily injury to the user does not establish a compelling interest on the part of government to restrict that activity. In fact, capturing a human being and sacraficing them on an alter, does establish a compelling interest on the part of government - even though none of those doing the capturing are in any danger at all. I assume that the author of this crap is the same alleged attorney (Richard Glen Boire) that has been lying about the RFRA since it's inception in 1993. Stop your lies, tell the TRUTH about RFRA and lets get on with it. If I want to injur my body in the pursuit of religious exercise, that is not a threat to public health and safety unless the government can prove that I will fall out of the airplane, off the mountain or out of the car onto another person - a member of the public. The threat to public health and safety that establishs a compelling interest on the part of government has nothing to do with any threat to the individual in religious exercise until a member of the public is necessarily injured as a result. The injury to the person in religious exercise is otherwise irrelevent.
Anyone who actually reads the published decisions made by the courts interpreting RFRA will find the TRUTH. Reading this article one finds lies.

Comment: I worked for the Chief State Medical Examiner for three years as their photographer. I saw a lot of bad. Too many people that came in with needles in their veins and ice trays down their pants in an apparent attempt to be revived (stupid). Comment: I was wondering about the FAQ section of cannabis, by Brian S. Julin. It seems like a lot of the questions that were answered may have been slighlty exxagerated. In it every negative effect that marijuana has was basically completely denied and then blamed on the government. Drugs promote themselves and the individual makes thier own choice. I urge these people to please stop pointing the finger and passing the blame onto what they seem to feel is an easy target.

CODEINE, as this doctor well knew, comes straight from the Devil. If you drink cough syrup with codeine in it, it makes you commit horrible crimes until you go blind. I JUST WANTED TO STOP COUGHING and get one night's sleep!!! (P.S. I went to the health store and bought "Old Indian Wild Cherry Bark" syrup and it ain't no codeine but it is helping gradually, thank God. But I'm still very angry at that doctor.)

Comment: i would like to give my expiernces and comments on long term dxm use.i don't know how to send it though.i have used it on a regular basis (every day) for three years.i thouht it wouldn't cause any long term affects but i was wrong.i used for about two years with out any problems,but then i made a big mistake.me and my trip buddy had been stockpiling coricidin and had about 400 pills (1 pill 30mg of dxm) and for two weeks we were eating 5 sugar cubes of lsd and went crazy and decided to go to conneticut to check into a mental hospital.so we convinced a friend to drive us and we brought are speed racer lunch box full of pills.on the way we were eating 10 pills every 15 minutes.somewhere in conneticut we got pulled over by state troopers(probaly because we all had bright colored mohawks).and my friend driving the car bugged out and made me eat the remaining 200 pills.the plan was to make vomit after the cops left but they held us for an hour. so when we got down the road and pulled over i couldn't vomit do to the numbing of my gag reflex.so we returned to jersey.the entire trip i had a seizure.the seizure lasted for 6 hours when i finaly came to i couldn't remember what happend.for 2 weeks i sat in my girlfriends house unable to communicate with any one.i couldnt see or hear.i didnt sleep because i thought i woudlnt wake up, i lost all grasp of reality.after a month went by i was still seeing things that weren't there, iwas talking to people that werent there, iwas still out of my mind.so i contacted my parents and they brought me to a doctor.the doctor just told me to stay off any drugs and eat healthy, and prescribed me to new anti-depressents that they were testing.after 4 or 5 months i started using again and i thought it was ok but i didn't relize the mental and physiacal damage i was doing.its been 8 months since i last did it and i have severe mental disorders. i have to see a behavioral health physican regulary and take medication daily to control myself other wise i get realy depressed and try to hurt myself and others.icould go on for hours about the many problems i now have but i'll spare you the time. my conclusion don't be stupid, stick to safer (as if there is a safe drug) drugs and use responsibly. (SID)

It is great that there is a place that they can find to use them safely. Without sites like these the other alternitive to using those drugs is to guess and hope it goes alright for them.

It is interesting because these laws are common sense. It¡Çs also interesting to note that people who design and build robots are not using these laws. Instead of using technology to help us, we are designing machines that harm and kill people. It¡Çs obvious that the government has robotics and technology, which greatly exceeds the capabilities of anything the average consumer can buy or build.

It is my prediction that robotics will be used mainly for destruction of life. This might seem pessimistic but I somehow know this will manifest. Some people think that robots will be around a long time after humans are extinct. I¡Çm not completely convinced of this.

In my home town exist countless idiotic myths and falsities concerning drugs and drug use. Erowid has dispelled many of my stupid irrational and mass-hysteria enforced myths surrounding drugs both soft and hard.

Since I first payed vist to Erowid almost a year ago I have learned much. Needles to say I have since helped to spread this knowledge to my friends. Comment: has anyone one here ever had any experience with dramamine (you know, the motion-sickness thing)? i've done it twice and it was the most intense psychedelic experience i've ever had (i've done LSD, shrooms, and whatever is in cough syrup. i ate 24 of the original (non-drowsy) ones and had some 100% realistic hallucinations; several times i created entire conversations in my head with people who were'nt even there! i'd like to initiate some dialogue on this, so if you know anything about it... speak up.

Comment: Erowid is a massive library of extensive information that one can get lost exploring for hours on end. There is much truth to be found on this site and plenty of good advice to be inferred (NEVER injest Datura unless you really like talking to squirrells) however i need to point out that regular dragon's blood is no longer what is sold as "red rock opium". If you want to pretend to have obscene amounts of low grade opium you now need to buy REFINED dragons blood. It yields a mild effect but far less than I imagine Opium would be lol. Also I've heard of "white rock" opium which I've never seen but hypothesise that it may be copal or frankinsence.

Remeber: Drugs (prescription and otherwise) tend to be toxic and pernicious; stick to proven herbs ;)

Comment: NinjaFX, I just read your Vicodin experience report. What happened to you was first a state of Hypnogogia as your body momentarily paused between the waking and sleeping states. Hypnogogic hallucinations can be quite intense (think of "seeing things" while trying to stay awake driving) often seeming very real and ludicrous at the same time. The "unable to move" part of the experience was a condition known as "Sleep Paralysis". In short, your brain paralyzes your body before the onset of REM sleep to prevent physical action in response to dream stimuli. Many people have reported waking to a sense of intense fear and paralysis and sometimes even interpret sleep paralysis as an alien abduction. Furthermore, Opiates are mild Kappa Opiate Agonists, Salvia Divinorum has been found to act on the Kappa receptors so it is quite easy to see a possible link between Opiates, dreams, and hallucinogenic effects.

These people are completely ignorant to the fact that the information on this site is as only good as the reader interprets it. If you come to this site just to find new ways to get high then you are only cheating yourself. Unfourtunately this does happen and the people that are anti-erowid probably arise from it. Regardless, the benefits of available information far outweighs inevitable losses.

ok iwas reading on the drug page about vicoden, and i jsut took a pill people said it was hydrodocone, which on here it says it is vicoden, it didnt look like one of the pills though, it had indent on the back and on the otehr side it said M357 none of the pics on there said that, so i dont really know whta i took, is it vicoden or what?

I have the same question as Kevin, my friend has a few of those pills and no one knows what they are.

My son was sure that he got the whole story when he began experimenting with the substances listed on this site. Comment: I found your website as I searched for information on DXM. I was interested in this as I learned today that three (that I know of) teenagers in a local high school had severe negative reactions to use of DXM. They required medical attention. Though I respect your right to freedom of speech and parents should monitor their children's internet access, I find the accessibility to a site for drug users frightening.

Comment: Erowid is a great site filled with great information. For all of you anti-drug parents and straight-edge emo morons, kindly pull your heads out of your asses and look around you. I'm glad that you have decided not to use drugs, but that doesn't mean you should be ignorant about it...look beyond all the 'truth' propaganda bullshit. The commericials i've seen on TV have little or nothing to do with actual drug use. To all you concerned mothers out there, this site has un-biased information, the good and bad on a wide variety of drugs. And if you've actually read some of the experience reports you would see that for most substances there are both positive and negative reports, the effects page lists many of the positive and negative mental and physical effects of the subtance. Finally consider that it isn't really any of your business if I decide to smoke weed, snort coke or shoot heroin...its no more damaging to my body than drinking coffee and not much more addictive than smoking a cigarette.

It has not overdose information; If I accidentaly inhale some heroin or cocaine how am I supposed to know how much can kill me; if I find a gram of LSD how am I supposed to know if it's safe to touch, this site should have exact overdose information in grams; I mean c'mon how common sense is this yet I can't seem to find the overdose examples for any major substance. I don't think it is very common for people to die from 'accidently inhaling' substances such as heroin and cocaine...but if you intend to snort or shoot these substances check the dosage pages of them. Erowid does in fact have a little guide recommending how much of a new subtance to take and how to weigh it, in Basics - Dosage of the psychoactive vault, scroll down a little.
If you were to mysteriously find a gram of LSD lying around somewhere and you don't know what you're doing common sense should tell you that it IS NOT safe to touch; how do you know it is LSD? If you spent more than two seconds looking on the LSD dosage page you would see about mid-way down there is a lot of information provided about the possibility of overdosing on LSD. If you can't find the common-dosage and overdose information for a majority of the psychoactives here on Erowid simply LOOK A LITTLE HARDER, because they are there.

First I am a believer in the first amendment but I am allso a father with a history of drug use so I know first hand what a life of drug abuse can do to you physicaly and Financialy..! In high school I started smoking weed,inocent enough.But it didn't stop there.I graduated to mescaline and acid,pcp..Dust,Pills,speed,downs.Then Coke and meth.. the first drug I injected by the way, all the way to being a daily heroin user for 10 years of my life. The drug culture as a whole is very seductive..I found out the hard way.I am now 46 years old and I am just now climing out of the hole that I dug for myself Financialy.I just found out that I have Hep C.
I managed to have a son in between getting High 24-7 and it scares me to think that he is now the age that I was when I started my life of drugs.All I can say is if your site is pro drug use have some balls and put both sides of the story out there.Its not enough just informing people about the correct dosage or the proper environment. the truth is nobody can predict who's gonna be an addict and who's not.

On Friday, the emergency scheduling of TFMPP, BZP and 2C-T-7 expired. BZP and 2C-T-7 were placed permanently into Schedule I, but TFMPP was not because the DEA was unable to show scientifically that it qualified for Schedule I status. TFMPP is therefore now completely legal again.

I also want to mention that I have for the past three years suffered from immense pain from recurrent pancreatitis resulting in a rather rare procedure where my pancrease along with my spleen and some of my stomach were removed, and my insulin prodcuing cells harvested and translanted to my liver. As a result I am on both oxycodone and fentanly (duragesic) for pain management. I have and am sruggling between compassionate pain relief and addiction. It has been very troubling for me to accept and deal with. But your information has educated me and afford a decent bit of brightness in what is currently a dark world. Thank you Erowid!

Comment: I emailed (I think) fire about setting up a forum on the Erowid site. He/she said that alot of people had asked him/her about that, but that Erowid didn't want to do it because it would be really hard to moderate and make sure all of the information being posted was correct. I can see his/her point, but I think it would be fine without being intensely moderated. People have to use common sense and not take just one person's word for something. When multiple people are all giving you the same information, though, then chances are it's correct. After a while, certain members would show themselves to be knowledgable and helpful and could be made into new moderators. Then it wouldn't just be the Erowid team worrying about keeping the forum in order.

Alot of the time I just want to chat with people about their opinions of drugs and stuff like that. For example, I heard my brother say that peyote is more dangerous than acid, but there are no really negative reports about it on this site. Asking a few people who have some experience with it would help me out. And there could be ethical discussions about using drugs, etc..

Comment: Xanax is becoming increasingly more and more popular. I have tried the substance a number of times and know very well how powerful it can be as a psychoactive. Despite it being a prescription pharmaceutical, its far too popular to neglect documenting its real world use. Currently the main table of psychoactive vaults is perfectly organized, with exactly 6 links on each row. Adding Xanax to the table would leave one link with the whole row to itself. To remedy this slight visual inconsistency, I suggest merging the 'Peyote' vault with the 'Mescaline' vault, considering mescaline is the active ingredient in peyote. Hence, there is seemingly no reason to include peyote as a seperate drug.

I'm a big fan of Erowid, and if it weren't for me being so cheap, I would donate lots of money to the site. By suggesting the inclusion of Xanax into the main table of links, I am merely suggesting the improvement of Erowid's already impressive and extensive repertoire of psychoactive documentation.

Comment: One time on DXM, i was listening to Radiohead in a room which was only illuminated by a black light. I was hallucinating to a great extent. I was reading my Baby Sitters mind and freaking him out.(My trip sitter, not a real baby sitter.) Then, i was watching the wall in front of me as it began to rotate around the room. The next thing i knew, the wall that i could see in front of me was behind me and i could see the wall behind me in front of me. All at the same time. It was that "eyes in the back of your head" theory.

Comment: you should divide the dxm experiences and effects page into the 5 platueas(1-4th and sigma), it only makes sense considering dxm can be a whole new drug at new platueas, the characteristics of earlier platueas can be unrecognizable at higher doses...
since dxm is the only known drug that exhibits platueas like this, it would be a useful addition to the site thanks

Comment: WEll what can I say... lost of useful information here, however the site does get it's fair share of the uninformed submitting reports. Personally, I get annoyed when someone misuses a substance and blames not their irresponsibilty and ignorance, but the substance itself. I also notice many factual errors in the reports, however the blame lise not with Erowid, but with those writing the reports. I read every new report submitted, but feel that a better system of screening reports is needed. No complaints, just suggestions....and if you hate Erowid, I suggest you learn how to spell. May God be with us all.

Comment: I partly understand your decision to voice your opinion on the choice to partake in mind-altering drugs, who cares if nobody gets hurt, right? Hey, I've done my fair share of partying too, who hasn't? But what you fail to realize is that the choice to do heroin is most certainly a death sentence.
Heroin is not a recreational drug that can be done on weekends. It takes over your whole life and it changes who you are for the worse. A heroin addict is a habitual liar and sneak and thief. And is that high really worth the risk one takes of contracting aids or hepatitis C, and eventually death?
My ex-boyfriend has been a heroin addict for the last year and a half and has gone from being drop dead gorgeous to just a shell of a man. He's always pathetic looking anymore, always high on heroin or pills or in need of a fix, and doesn't bathe or care how he looks. The few times he had Overdosed wasn't enough to stop his drug use and neither was the nasty infection he got in his arm a few weeks ago to where he had to be admitted to the hospital. The hospital didn't do anything for the withdrawals, instead they kept him high on morphine, then after five days in the hospital, they took him into surgery and cut his arm open to drain the infection out. Then for the next week he had this huge nasty looking open wound on his arm that he had to keep changing the dressing from inside of the wound. Do you think that was enough to stop his drug use when he got out of the hospital? NO! The day after he got out, he was using again. He just got a letter in the mail today from the Board of Health stating that he has Hepatitis C. So now I also have to be tested, even though I'm not a drug addict and the only thing I'm guilty of, is trying to get him off the drug this whole time.
So maybe if you are going to glorify heroin, try having a heroin addict in your life for awhile and lets see how open minded you are about the drug then. You might also think about being a little more responsible with this website and providing information on the downfalls and drawbacks to doing drugs like heroin.

Comment: My grandparents said drug users were dope fiends , yet their parents used heroin powder, and other, now illegal drugs on them for ailments . They lived to be almost 100 , using them till they became illegal . Teaching my parents to hate drug users , that
now say " crack heads, and dopers , should be exterminated" ,when their own grandchildren are using it , shows me anyone that hates medicnes is stupid and ignorant .
