Erowid Announcement #74
Dec 17, 2006
Friends of Erowid,

It's Solstmas again, that time of the year when many major religions and secular cultures around the world celebrate new beginnings and the spirit of giving. No stranger to the season's motifs, Erowid celebrates by filling the office with holiday music, trying out new recipes, developing the Solstmas meme, and catching up on the backlog from the last couple months.

This has been a stellar year of growth for Erowid and we look forward to the next few months, lots of new site stuff in the works. Please consider the site in your end-of-year giving and careful with the eggnog. Don't forget, we still have art glass molecules available!

As usual, we welcome submissions, suggestions, criticisms, or corrections at

  2. Back on the Road End-of-Year Donation?

To properly deliver t-shirts, newsletters, glass molecules, and other gifts to its members, Erowid needs a functioning sleigh. Alas, we recently had a low-speed accident on a slippery mountain road that involved no injuries but totaled our car. All-in-all it was probably one of the most pleasant ways to roll a car on its side. Ack! Please be more careful than we were on icy roads, folks :]

Perhaps you'd consider an small contribution via PayPal as we face the purchase of a replacement vehicle following last week's minor disaster. If even half of those who receive this message donate $2, we're more than covered.
