Physical description: 26 year old female, 5’2”, 100lbs. Prior experience with psychoactives: MJ (daily), MDMA, LSD, cocaine, Salvia Divinorum, hydrocodone, oxycodone, amphetamines, sedatives, benzodiazepines, sinicuichi, absinthe, alcohol, amanita muscaria, blue lotus, and probably a handful of others I've forgotten.
Set: Curious, but skeptical.
Setting: Home alone, my preferred setting.
Took 2g (22 seeds) to toast in pan over stovetop on medium low.
After 5 minutes with none popping, I upped the heat a notch. Still nothing, so I upped it to medium. They finally started popping and the room filled with a nutty aroma.
Turns out I let them go too long. Some of them were burnt. So I set them aside and husked 5 seeds without toasting first. It’s actually really easy.
Toasted those in the toaster oven with the temp set to 375 and I watched like a hawk. Flipped once. Took them out when they were no longer soft to the touch and put them straight into the grinder, which worked surprisingly well. Weighed in around .3g. Added .1g lime, stirred well.
Went to the sink and added way too much water. Nuked for 20 seconds to try to dry it. Didn’t dry all the way so I stuck it in the toaster oven and kinda forgot about it until the room started smelling like a burning swamp. Tossed the blackened mess in the sink.
Husked another 5 and repeated the process. Husked others in the meantime. Added water drop by drop until it was damp enough to stick together and mix with my fingers – bad idea, it’s hard to get it off.
Once that was well mixed, I put it (while it was still in a metal container) straight into the toaster oven to dry out for about three minutes. Came back in time, transferred it to the mortar and pestle and ground into a uniformly light brown color.
I went back to the first batch and repeated the process again until I got another uniform powder – I did not wet this batch. Being burnt, I was honestly not expecting much from it, I thought for sure I had destroyed any active constituents.
After smoking a bowl, I took my bubbler and the burnt batch and went outside. I simply took two pinches from the bowl, maybe a seed or two’s worth. It needs some sort of organic base, though, because it really is a powder.
The smoke was harsh at first, but didn’t taste too bad. I took a decent toke and held it for about ten seconds. After I let it out, I noticed that I was much higher than I had been. I started feeling a little flushed, so I quickly took another hit, trying to burn the rest of what was there. After that, I put the bubbler down to observe. That flushed feeling, accompanied by prickles on the back of the neck, happened immediately.
That flushed feeling, accompanied by prickles on the back of the neck, happened immediately.
Also, a headache seemed to be presenting, but I’ve had headaches for the past couple days.
I went to go lay down in case I started to not feel well, and noticed that I was just a little red, and that I felt kinda floaty and was a little uncoordinated. While laying down, I closed my eyes and was treated to an impression of a peacock feather, which started twirling, and eventually morphed in to a kaleidoscope of sorts. It was pretty cool, cuz I don’t usually see anything when I close my eyes. Towards the end, it felt like my third eye was being pulled open and I had the impression of being told, “Look.”
I also felt very heavy, especially in my face - sort of similar to the salvia body load. But whereas Salvia pulls me, this was almost a pushing feeling, and stretching my face felt interesting. Music coming from the computer in the dining room was really nice.
It’s been half an hour and I still feel kinda funny. I knew when it was wearing off cuz I started feeling just stoned heavy. It all lasted maybe ten, fifteen minutes.
I went easy on dosage because it's my first time playing with it.
Be smart; Be safe.
