Upon going to sleep last night, I took 350mg of valerian root, 300mg of melatonin and 50mg of vitamin B-6. I decided to read for a while before the pills kicked in which came about 25 minutes later, the time was 1:45 AM. The vitamin B-6 must have caused my body to become restless because it seemed as though I was having trouble sleeping. What seemed like 2 hours of struggling to go to sleep turned out to be 5 hours! I assume that I was sleeping but not very deeply.
At 6:45 AM I was finally able to catch some real shut eye at which time the vivid dreams started. Through the course of my rest, 6:45 AM- 11:00 AM, I was awakened several times by various disturbances, but I was able to go back to sleep quickly thereafter. , roughly 4-5 all together, which I still remembered to the last detail upon wakening.The dreams were neither nightmarish nor blissful, only average.
I awoke feeling slightly groggy but impressed by my dream recollection which made it all worthwhile. I look forward to experimenting with these natural herbs again in the near future.
