DOSE:
75 drops oral Lotus/Lily - Nymphaea nouchali var caerulea (extract)
  5 oz oral Ginger (tea)
BODY WEIGHT: 140 lb
My husband and I had heard great reports about Blue Lily (Nymphaea Caerulea), mostly about its deeply relaxing effects, release of muscle spasms (my husband has restless leg syndrome in bed) and Viagra-like effects. I was also personally intrigued about the reports that it tended to make one more aware of their aura. (That one seemed odd but, oh my god, it wasn't a lie!)

So, I purchase a one ounce bottle of Blue Lily Seed Tincture from a popular online company that is well known for selling ethically-harvested and formulated herbs. As an herbalist, I know that while the flowers (the traditionally potent part of the Blue Lily plant) is the most used part, the SEEDS are what holds the vital essence of most plants. Thus, I opted for the seed extract. (I also purchased an ounce of flowers and an ounce of Blue Lotus stamens [Nelumbo Nucifera] to make two different types of elixirs. More on that later.)

The bottle said to place five dropperfuls of the ethanol-based seed tincture in either tea or wine. It didn't say how much wine or tea. As I've been told that RED wine is better over white wine and I didn't have any red wine in the house, I opted to use my herbal wisdom and make a GINGER tea. Ginger is known to bind with whatever herb you add to it and potentiate its action. Sounded good to me. Also, ginger tea is easy on the stomach and I wasn't into getting a bad reaction from the ethanol alcohol in the seed tincture.

As I ALSO understand that you should NOT heat Blue Lily flowers or extract because that will drastically curtail their effect, I made a strong cup of ginger tea using two tea bags from a well-known maker of teas. I poured 10 oz. of boiling water over the ginger tea bags and let it steep for 30 minutes. It was a cold night, so I set the cup outside with the teabags still in it to cool down for another 15 minutes. I poured 5 oz. servings of the ginger tea (sans the tea bags) into glasses and tested the temp. It was cool. I then added the required five dropperfuls of the seed tincture and stirred each glass with a spoon.

My husband and I went to bed and slowly sipped the brew until it was all gone. This took five minutes. I immediately felt a distinct buzz, kind of like the effects of wine. This was after one sip. We finished the tea at 8:30pm. By 8:35pm I was very relaxed. My husband said his face felt flushed but not in a bad way. From what I'd been told, this was an excellent sign that the stuff was working. By 8:45pm he reported that his extremities were tingling in a pleasant way and that he felt warm all over. It was at 8:45pm that I decided to try the trick where you place your hands together as in prayer but hold them apart about an inch or so to feel the energy. I wasn't expecting anything as it'd only been 15 minutes but OH MY GOD, it really worked. There was a distinct tingling sensation between my hands that felt like a magnet of energy. I placed my right hand over my husband's forehead and he said he felt 'strong heat and tingling' coming out of my hand. Wherever I moved my hand, he said he could feel the sensation. We played around with this magnetic sensation for another 5 minutes before he returned to reading his book and I did as well.

But I noticed as I read my book that I felt more focus on the page and that the page almost alive. That's the best way to describe it. It wasn't that the book was alive. It was just that everything seemed more acute and more real. I was very calm. Nothing could bother me. This was not an 'I don't care' feeling; more an 'I know what's important to care about and what I don't need to care about' feeling. Very cool.

By 9pm, my husband suddenly drifted off to sleep. I wanted to see if the seed extract had any effect on his muscle spasms while he slept. Unfortunately, they did not. He still twitched and jerked his muscles with the same energy. However, he slept really deeply and seemed very relaxed. I turned off the light at 9:10pm and he moved closer to me and woke up. Curled up next to me, I could feel an enormous amount of heat and prickly magnetic energy coming off his naked body. I rubbed his penis with my hand and he said it felt very sensitized. He got hard within minutes and we made love. All I can tell you is the sensitivity was beyond my belief. He also said that his penis felt tingly and very sensitive. He lasted for 15 minutes or so before coming. It was all very intense -- not just the beginning or middle and end....the WHOLE time. Fantastic. What an amazing sex aid!

We both slept very well. I had some weird dreams but nothing like nightmares. The next morning, we both woke up feeling very good (no drugged, hangover feeling) and got out of bed with no problems. This is kind of unusual for us as we like to linger in bed usually. One thing I noticed in the morning was that the bags that are usually under my eyes are really reduced. Don't know what could have caused this. Maybe the ginger tea or the combo of the seed extract and the tea?

Can't say the seed tincture works for muscle spasms because my husband still jerked and jolted his way through the night. But I'd give this seed tincture five stars for its calming effects, aura-enhancing effects and sexual effects.

I am making two elixirs to try.

The first one is 750 ml. bottle of Concord grape wine. I'd heard that one should choose a SWEET red wine and you can't get much sweeter than Concord Grape wine. With 11% alcohol, it's only 2 or 3% shy of most other wines. Into this bottle, I stuffed 7 grams of Blue Lily FLOWERS. I shake it every day and plan to let it sit for 7 days before trying it.

The second bottle is a 750 ml. bottle of Korbel Brandy. Into this, I placed 7 grams of Blue Lily Flowers and 7 grams of Blue Lotus Stamens (Nelumbo Nucifera). I was intrigued by the stamens' supposed effects when mixed with the Blue Lily Flowers. I shake this bottle every day and plan to let it sit for at least 12 days.

I'm going to be checking out another company's Nymphaea Caerulea tincture which sells it under the name 'Egyptian Blue Lotus Tincture.' I'm not sure how it's made but I know they use the flowers and a 'patented' process whereby you only need to take 6 to 12 drops once or twice a day. I think it's more used as a general circulatory tonic and sedative.

All I know is I'm totally into this stuff and want to try it again.
