I was a pretty average 13 year old who received the awaited package in the mail. I had smoked pot a lot, and wanted to try a trip.

I soaked the seeds and scrubbed them really well, having read this removed the poison. I thought it was strychnine, but now I read it is a chemical that releases cyanide. I crushed the seeds, crammed them in my mouth and sucked the juices for an hour. I began feeling really bad mentally. I didn't trip or see visuals. My memories and thoughts shattered into a thousand fragments, most of which I never recovered. My limbs turned blue from the poisoning. I had to work at continuing to breathe.

It is 30 years later, and I have never recovered my memories of my childhood or who I really was, who I am supposed to be. The doctor said the seeds contained poison, and that I had a strong heart, which might be too bad. Years later, Magnetic Resonance Imaging showed that I had lost a substantial portion of my cerebellums (memory centers). I must have barely survived the poisoning. I mourn the loss of my past self. I cannot remember things well, nor achieve my full potential, and will never remember who I was supposed to be.

I tried LSD and mushrooms at age 19-25, and they made me trip. Woodrose seeds made me brain damaged. One small, forgivable mistake; a life of permanent, unbearable misery.
