After the legacy cannabis market died I decided to try going to college. It went well at first, until I had to take a math course. I figured fuck it, I'll cop some adderall, people are prescribed this, why not give it a shot?

I felt like I had taken NZT from the movie Limitless. I became extremely productive and actually enjoyed doing various productive tasks. As someone who floated through their late teens and 20s trapping ganja, anything normal, like holding a real job or attending college, seems like an insurmountable impossible elephant of a task. With the speed, it was possible to blast right through things.

I quickly learned that to not be totally fucked up on it, one should take the minimum effective dose, and make sure to eat regularly. I would take it first thing in the morning, and in about 1 hour, it would kick it and I would feel the wondrous effects of the drug. I noticed I would chew my lip and grind my teeth a little bit so I would chew gum and smoke a lot of CBD spliffs. Smoking THC on it would cause intense anxiety and a racing heart.

I felt very sexy on it, and yoga felt incredible. I exercised on it regularly which was probably not the best idea, but hey, we're productive now.

The comedowns would suck. I would feel all wonked out physically and the mental acuity and clarity would cease. I would sometimes take half the original dose (original morning dose was~15-20mg max) in the evening to help with the comedown and continue being productive. I had some minor heart flutters and palpitations which I ignored and attributed to, obviously, taking speed.

After rationalizing my addiction to speed for a few months, and the side effects, mainly the heart palpitations and general anxious feeling (moreso due to hiding that I was completely tweaked the fuck out all day for months but it's a pill it's not like I smell like cocaine and have a red nose...right...) something dawned on me. I got these pills for like, less than a dollar each, in a relatively large quantity. If this seller had access to such large amounts, considering they are pills, they could be pressed pills, of street meth, potentially with fentanyl residue on the press. I realized I was playing roulette and put a bunch of spicy chili oil and dustpan dirt on them in a sandwich bag and threw that shit in the garbage.

Fast forward a few months, I still get heart palpitations, and chest tightness, especially when I lay down. I can no longer smoke any THC cannabis or even extremely small amounts of CBD without feeling like my heart is going to explode. I can't even eat sugar anymore or drink more than 1/10th a cup of coffee without feeling absolutely fucked for hours.

I have few regrets, but I regret taking "adderall" because it has precipitated shitty health effects I could not have foreseen affecting me given my relative youth and long history of chronic spliff smoking and strong cardiovascular fitness (I run long distances and train regularly...)

A word of wisdom, anything that makes you feel that good for that long for that cheap, probably has a catch. Don't be a dumbass and listen to your body.
