I am rather familiar with Mushrooms, although I do not consider it a substance that should be taken on a day-to-day basis, like I do with Marijuana.

It all started when my friend invited me to his brother's new appartment, for a little get-together. When we arrived, there was about 6 people there, only a few I actually knew. We started talking and I had about 2 beers, which I only did for the occasion, I have taken a hiatus from drinking for the past few months.

All of a sudden, someone (the person who owned the appartment) pulled out a bottle of pills. Now pills make me a little nervous, so he told me not to worry, and said that they were Demerol, which he managed to score when he had his wisdom teeth extraction, by constantly bothering the nurses for it. I took about 2.5 pills of it, which I was a little cautious about, knowing that alcohol and pain killers isn't the best mix. Although the affect of Demerol in terms of efficiency is questioned, I can't tell you what it felt like without any other substances in my body, but it did give me a nice feeling later on.

Before the Demerol affects could be noticed, one of the people pulled out a nice baggie of Mushrooms, and although they aren't my favorite thing in the world, I decided to give them a try. I ate about 2.5-3 grams of them, and taking my friend's advice about mushrooms, we began to take hits from his bong and a few joints of very nice Marijuana. The Marijuana seemed to induce the Mushroom affects faster, and intensify them.

My body felt VERY good and extremely relaxed - almost fuzzy. I couldn't feel the individual drugs in my system, but I know that the Marijuana, beers, and Demerol made me feel this way.

When the Mushrooms began to take place, I had been in the lobby of his appartment at the vending machines. It was your 'standard' shroom trip... right up until the hallucinations came, which I had never experienced to this degree.

All of a sudden I was enveloped in a purple bubble, or at least my head was. It was semi-transparent, and had a consistent texture to it, almost like the grain of wood. I was seeing everything through the bubble, which was like looking through a bottle. The bubble receded until it was floating in front of me. The whole thing must have lasted 30-60 seconds, but I got a little freaked and ran up a few floors of stairs, until I was alone and got nervous.

I met back with my friends and lied down on his couch. The clock on his wall seemed to multiply and was covering one whole wall. The ceiling was covered with faces - faces that seemed to be formed out of it. They weren't menacing or even scary, just a curious sight. I called out to one of them, but they didn't answer, which is good, because that really would have tripped me out!

If I turned my head fast enough, neon colors would shoot out of parts of objects, and I could see accents around people, almost like green auras.

Everything lasted for a good 5-6 hours until I fell asleep. Overall, it was quite a trip. It was a very interesting trip, although next time I think I'll stay away from the demerol and alcohol, just because Marijuana and Mushrooms usually do the trick :)
