Salvia divinorum
Bits & Pieces
by Erowid

The "Bits & Pieces" section is intended for random snippets of information which don't fit
easily elsewhere and/or which have been newly added, but not yet carefully categorized.

  • Salvia gravity
When smoked, it is not uncommon for Salvia divinorum to produce a very physical sensation of pressure on the body. This is a relatively unique effect of S. divinorum. Described variously as a pulling or pushing of the body in a particular direction, some people find themselves pinned to the floor for the duration of their experience. One user described it as "Salvia gravity".

  • Many people find effects difficult to achieve
For whatever reason, some people find it extremely difficult, if not impossible, to achieve effects with Salvia divinorum. It is not clear at this time whether this is primarily the result of differing body chemistry, smoking techniques, material, or some other factor.

  • Some people find combining with Cannabis more effective
Some people report that they are unable to achieve any significant effects with Salvia divinorum (even 10x extract) unless they use it on top of a solid base of smoked Cannabis.

  • Air Roots
In high humidity, Salvia divinorum plants can put out air roots (roots growing above the surface of the soil).
