Abstract
A group of rats was given 25 mcg. LSD i.p. daily for 1-2 months and then sacrificed. A second group was given the same treatment and, in addition, 100 mcg. LSD 2 hours prior to sacrifice. . No behavior disorders were noted in either group apart from accentuated agressiveness during the first 7-9 days of treatment. . With some exceptions, oxygen consumption of tissues removed from various levels of the CNS was significantly reduced in both groups of animals.
