Lieberman covers the effects of caffeine on sustained vigilance as well as the effects of caffeine on complex cognitive performance, changes in mood associated with caffeine consumption, effects on sleep, and the adverse effects of caffeine such as anxiety, fine motor performance (shaking), withdrawal, and discusses its abuse potential.
