As Strassman (1995) pointed out in this Journal, clinical research with hallucinogens has resumed after a generation's hiatus. Strassman argues that "human hallucinogen research will help define unique mind-brain interfaces, and provide mechanistic hypotheses and treatment options for psychiatric disorders," and that state of the art methodologies need to be incorporated into such studies. (p. 127).
