“Lisuride-Induced Mounting Behavior and Effects on the Monoaminergic System in Rat Brain”.
Lisuride and Other Dopamine Agonists. 1983.
Abstract
This chapter briefly reviews our main neurochemical and behavioral findings with lisuride and D-lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) on the monoaminergic system in rat brain. The experiments discussed deal with the agonistic activities of lisuride and LSD at pre- and postsynaptic dopamine (DA) and 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) receptor sites. Evidence for an a-adrenoceptor-blocking activity of lisuride and LSD it also provided. Special attention is given to lisuride-induced mounting of rats and to the monoaminergic mechanisms sustaining this behavior.
