Abstract
The quantitative determination of LSD in illicit preparations, by high performance TLC and fluorimetry, is described. Felt strips were ground in a mortar with sea sand and placed in a mini-column. LSD was eluted with MeOH and an aliquot spotted onto precoated silica gel 60 HP TLC plates. The developing solvent was EtOH/CHCl3 and fluorimetric quantification was carried out using 313 nm (Ox) and 420 nm (Em). Concentrations were determined by calibration.
