Abstract
Serotonin caused pronounced histological changes in the brain and spinal cord of white mice when administered i.m. for 20-30 days in increasing daily doses (0.33-2 mg.). The histological changes were much less pronounced, if 0.25 mg. LSD was injected 20 minutes before the serotonin. . These histological investigations show that LSD protects the nervous tissues against the effects of chronic serotonin intoxication.
