“The action of serotonin and lysergic acid diethylamide on spinal reflexes.”.
J. Pharmacol. & Exper. Therap.. 1955;113:48.
Abstract
Intra-arterial injection of serotonin in vagotomized cats with the spinal cord divided at C2 and T1 caused an initial increase and a secondary decrease in the flexion reflex. LSD initially enhanced the stimulating phase of the response and subsequently blocked or considerably reduced the effect of serotonin.
