“5-Hydroxytryptamine. Pharmacological action and destruction in perfused lungs.”.
Quart. J. Exper. Physiol.. 1953;38:255.
Abstract
5-Hydroxtryptamine (serotonin) caused vasoconstriction and bronchoconstriction in cat's lungs perfused with blood. These actions were antagonized by DHE and LSD. After DHE adrenaline invariably produced vasodilatation and bronchodilatation.
