I think your web site kix ass and is very useful.I Only have done special K once at a rave .I was also on xtc, usualy when I'm on ecstacy I feel really great and I love verything and everyone, but when I mixed it with Special K I didnt like it.Everything I heard was scrambled and instead of being loving I was closed off and nervous I also felt as if I had an outer body experience (which involved Jim Morrison and me climbing a pyramid, which in reality was 3 stais leading to the stage). If Special K is like LSD I understand why I felt likr this, Iused to be an acidhead but Istopped cause I began to feel shitty.Well ok I just Wanted to comment .

what I just read about dxm felt like I wrote it myself. The simplest of things seemed so incredibly difficult, like walking, talking, seeing. Reality and my dreams and nightmares all began to blur together. From one 500mg pill, I was expecting a mild high, but that is not what I got. The "come-down" is definately a long, confusing one.

Excellent web site- keep up the good work. Over the last 6 months I have had problems with panic attacks, feelings of dysphoria and occasional dizziness. I reckon its due to a particularly foul virus I had, combined with a stressful period... but... I've done a lot of psilocybin & LSD over the last 25 years,is htis payback time? Symptoms getting better- anyone else with a similar history had a crisis? I'm 40, no other medical or psychological history.

Today I showed your site to a friend of mine who is suffering from cancer. She is ususally an extremely unhappy person, as she is constantly suffering from either the effects of her illness or the side effects of the drugs she is taking to combat it. She is usually extremely depresed, as she used to be very active intellectualy, but the medication she is on (Diazepam) to calm her nerves leaves her groggy and mentally incapacitated, which makes her feel useless. When I showed her all the information you have on this site on all of the substances she is taking and all of the different ones that might help her strengthen herself, she almost broke down crying! It was as if she had discovered a treasure. Here was all this VERY useful information at her fingertips. Here was a place where she could exercise her mind again. She felt empowered after a long time feeling sorry for herself. Seems trivial, but it gave her hope :) I'm thankful that a place such as this, and other wonderful sites like the Lycaeum, where knowledge can be gotten by those with the passion to use it, exists. It gives me hope in humanity. Thank you. Peace - Freedom - Creation

I enjoy this site greatly and visit regularly and think you have done a good job of providing accurate information on psychoactive drugs. However, I do not use drugs recreationally for spiritual purposes, and I think that such a thing is an illusion. Drugs can be used well for fun and and other purposes, but I do not think that chemicals can give anything but a cheap imitation of true spirituality and a personal relationship with God. I hate to put something here twice in one day, but I just gotta get this off my chest. I used to do pretty much everything from pot to crack. I went through stages. I drank till I became to rowdy. I smoke pot to calm me down until I became to lazy. I started tripping to give me energy. LSD led to raves. Raves led to Ecstacy. Partying led to Panama City. Panama City led to cocaine. Somehow crack just got tossed into the mix. During all this I was doing it for the wrong reasons. Me and my friends just used to see how much our bodies could take. None of us grew up well and I guess we were kind of self destructive. I quit pretty much everything except for drinking. I hated acid, I blamed it for everything in my life. I will still do coca and pot occasionally. After reading your site it makes me want to try LSD all over again with a new state of mind. It makes me want to try to figure out who I am through LSD. Thank you. Sorry for this being so long. :)

I have read much of your LSD section. I have noticed that there is not much info about making it in bulk. I investigated the price of morning glory seeds, and they are around $1.59 for 30-50 seeds. They are also hard to find out of season. Making LSD this way is not very cost effective. I have access to reagent grade chemicals due to my place of business. I'd appreciate it if you could post some info on how to make lsd in bulk, with or without pure chemicals. Thanks.

Erowid Note: I guess you'll have to find info about making LSD in bulk on someone elses site :)
I have to commend you on putting together such an informative sight. This site will help people new to various drugs enter into them wisely. Maybe some people don't appreciate what your doing here, but I do. Your sight has answered numerous questions that I have had for quite some time. Keep up the good work.

Im 16 and I come onto your website at school all 3rd hour and all 7th hour, everyday. LSD fancinates me and i am on the verge of getting some gelcaps, hellyeah. ive only taken a microdot before (didnt even exit reality, im not even sure if it was real)and I want to take lsd badly to discover myself and come in contact with the spiritual side of things. Unfortunatly I am very concious and straight forward only because ive barely tripped once before. Perhaps I am one of the few kids of my generation who is going to trip for the first time with a strong knowledge about LSD. and believe me, ive spent hour on end on your website and on other sites about lsd. I have friends who I call "tripped out" because they think a lot different than I do, plus they have tripped 50+ times. I play guitar and other instruments and I want to become a muscian, so I think I could strongly benifit from tripping. Look at the beatles (which is my favorite band) that became twice as famous and started writing complicated, kick ass music as soon as lennon and the guys started dosing. I seem to only appreciate material possisions and I hope that by taking LSD I should learn to appreciate people, life, nature, and religion. Damn this society for growing my up this way, i hate america. I will post again once I trip for my first time and explain the experiance as if I was one of the testies for the 1960's.

I have recently recieved some GHB from overseas delivery, but the directions are not in english. The name on the bottle says "Alcover" or "Andover" or something like that and the writting is in either italian or austrian or something. If you happen to know the concentration for Italian/Austrian made GHB with the a name like Alcover, I would love to figure it out before I accidentially over dose or take so little I waste the money I paid to get it here. If you can help, thank you very much, and if not thanx for your time. Sincerely, Kc Hastings

I really need to find info about long term exposure to ghb. My husband has been taking ghb daily for months and is now in detox. He seems to be very paranoid and suffering from hallucinations. I need to know if this is a side effect of the detox process or if he's having a psychotic break. Previous research seemed to indicate that ghb was not physically addictive but can that still be true if he suffering withdrawl.

Erowid Note: If it's kept dry and cool, MDMA should last for a long time (years). As with most substances, keeping it sealed in glass will help.
About four years ago I stopped taking MDMA because it seemed that all the pills that were going around were just rubbish. I really enjoyed the MDMA experience when it first started and would love to re-capture that feeling again. I would just like to hear from anyone who reads this whether there is still real MDMA out there, or should I just give up my search. There is nothing worst than having been around when MDMA was of good quality and now just being left frustrated when you decide to give the scene another change and try some of the rubbish the kids today are using.
So far what I have seen, you have a great site.
Mojo
- Tuesday, November 03, 1998 at 06:03:15 (PST)
Erowid Note: There is developing a body of literature and experiences which suggest that after somewhere in the range of 15-50 uses of MDMA most users find that the positive effects diminish significantly. This is not true for ALL users, but for a large percentage of them.

analogs of illegal drugs are also illegal, but what about analogs of caffiene? if someone develops or discovers that certain plants or chemicals mixed with caffiene develop a sense of well being etc will these analogs be made illegal and how will that be monitored? smokeable caffeine craciene is this illegal as method of ingestion of legal substance to be monitored? what if caffiene is changed molecularly to resemble cocaine will this be illegal? (they are molecular cousins aren't they?)

- Friday, October 30, 1998 at 20:53:18 (PST)
Erowid Note: The long term effects of the use of LSD are not well know, but they are generally not a response to the drug still being in the body. Psychoactive drugs are a very direct way of affecting the mind and neurochemistry of an individual. If you are experiencing long term side effects, you might want to consider seeking professional help. There do exist caring helpful understanding doctors and counsellors who have experience working with psychedelics. There are many easily treatable issues which can be precipitated by entheogens. Generally, when talking about the length of time a substance stays in the body, we are talking about issues of drug testing.
How do I help people who are addicts of crack! What can I do? Please give me some tips.I can't bare it enymore it's a discusting and selfisch sphere there living in. Must i get angry? Must I talk about it? Are do I have to accept it, and live with it? A

I used to take acid in the 60's but stoped because good trips started getting bad and I thought it was me but now i find out that after about 1968 that acid wasnt even real lsd but something only close.so can anybody tell me where i can read about or find out about any acid that is made today that is really pure or more preferably made really right.Or is there no acid like there used to be.
cc
- Saturday, October 24, 1998 at 20:01:24 (PDT)
Erowid Note: As far as we know, there is no data to support that LSD in the 60's was any more pure than that of today. It is, however, pretty well documented that an average single hit of acid is now somewhere in the range of 40-100 ug while in the 60's it was more likely to find single hits ranging from 100-300 ug. This is a good change. The ability to regulate ones dose more carefully is always a good thing.

I think this site sould have info on steroids.Because girls can have breast implants to improve there aperance[sp] so people should be able to aprove there aperance[sp] with steroids thats just my thought .
Erowid Note: And just as with breast implants, individuals using steroids need to seriously consider the long term affects of any "treatments" they use. Both breast implants and steroid use can have serious side effects...consider very carefully before embarking on that path.

It's nice to see that there is a site with this much information. I get tired of going to pages by some kid who's just looking for a buzz. There are aspects of drugs other than the euphoric effects. I wish I had something profound to say but since I don't we'll have to rely on Jerry, "If my words did glow, with the cold of sunshine, and my tunes were played on the harp unstrung, would you hear my voice, come through the music. Would you hold it near, as it were your own." Good deal Erowid.
I dont know much about computers but how about a download manager so we can take some of the information home with us. That'd be cool.

I think that this page is great! Unfortunately there is not any information or answers to the questions asked available. I would like to have that info. available to me. I love mushrooms, and had an amazing experience on them. I am also into acid, which is so different, but still cool. I think 'shrooms are so cool because it takes you into a place so close to nature and you feel so at peace with the world. I would, however, like to know the effects later in life - if there are any, from 'shrooming. Help!! :)

Entheogens cannot be made bad or good. They simply exist. They are pathways. You and I are persons. We exist. We can embrace the bad or the good. You have the final say. You are the one who selects a path. A path with no heart will consume your life. Your soul will be reflected in your thoughts. You will be responsible for the progress of your soul. Doug C. since 1990 I have been addicted to cocaine and for the last 3 years crack. I have read a whole bunch of stuff about this plant called ibogaine and all the political crap that seems to go with any new drug or treatment. Your page is extensive and wonderful. I am impressed at your research and intense knowledge of so many broad topics. What concerns me is not so much your page but rather your responses to it. I am afraid that many people have missed what I see to be the point. So many of your comments have to do with the hallucinogenic section of your page. I see that as one teacher among the many described. It does not scare me, instead it almost intrigues me as to why this is the teacher of choice right now. Believe me when I say that I am not judging for I am only a 19 year old deep ecology major. But I wonder all the same. . .

Finally out of the gulag of Iowa...and found your site. wanted to get a greater distribution of my Supreme Court legal brief out where more can find it...especially if there are some who are in need of good legal arguments. While the Supreme Court declined to consider the issue (this time) our church is going into federal court with a section 1983 suit asking that the federal courts declare the psilocybin statute unconstitutional as applied to mushrooms in their natural state (since no mushroom is mentioned as illegal to begin with in most of the laws of Amerika and her states). THIS WILL BE WON over the next few years.

If then the government desires to outlaw the mushrooms themselves by adding them to the list of controlled substances, they will first have to hold a hearing. At such a hearing our church will be there to demand an exemption from any such new law for our church's sacramental use of the Sacred Mushroom. This exemption will be similar to the peyote exemption given the Native American Church for their sacrament when the controlled substances laws first scheduled peyote.

Persons interested in further legal information, church information, or desiring to help out with the expenses involved in mounting the initial challenge and the inevitable appeal should pay attention to the various addresses that will soon be left at some links. This is an initial posting to see if their is interest in assuring our constitutional rights to practice spirituality as we see fit without fear of the Pharmacratic Inqusition (thank's to J. Ott) persecuting us any longer. I have the knowledge now, thanks to four years of monastary living as a guest of the Iowa (SEE MUSHROOM THE JOURNAL, Winter 1997, Spring 1998, and Summer 1998 issue, THE SPOREPRINT newsletter of The Fane (Nov. 1997) inside cover, THE ENTHEOGEN LAW REPORTER, issue #14, pp. 132-135, etc as well as the addresses included at the start for more info).

People get ready.....they knew not what they did, or what they allowed me to do in four years of continuous legal research. God bless them, and to all of you.. ......Namaste.............

In the process described for preparing Morning Glory seeds, please tell me how long I should allow the ether-soaked powder to dry before I mix it into the alcohol which I will later be drinking?

I am interested in finding out anything I can do for a friend who has sustained liver damage from constant use of perscribed medication (Phoenobarb and depacot). We are looking for natural paths to take which include nutrition.

Dear Erowid: Wonderful site...especially like your datura section. My family has been raising daturas for 30 years...(3 generations now...)They are a much mis-understood flower. I am partial to the single white scented variety, once upon a time known as the "old fashioned moonflower"...not to be mistaken with the Morning Glory Moonflower... I enjoyed your site and would very much like to link to it on my homepage (which is in the process of creation at this moment).

Dear Erowid's, your site is just phantastic and one can feel, that you take alternative states of mind real serious. If there just would be more like you. I'm an LSD-researcher (early seventieth) and published a book on spirituality and psychedelic experiences (-German). Psychedelics changed my whole life dramatically. I'm now an astrologer, Buddhist and writer. My plans for life in the early sixties where completly different. Keep the spirits high. With love from Ireland, Hans

I think that this page is one of the most extensive entheogenic texts as well as spiritual. This page has taught me infinite loads of knowledge that was not available to me. Thanks Alot.
You have covered alot and that izs enough for me.

Your site is the best site I've seen not just in the category it is in but the best site I've seen easily laid out and informative. I can't tell you how many times I've been here i try to visit at least once everytime I'm online, if it's not the sole reason to go online.
I'd like to see more articles on easier to obtain hallucionogens maybe more on the OTC hallucionogens. I like to fry.

We really have found your site useful as we have struggled this year to keep our publications up to date. Now that we have finished the first phase of our website we are interested in having as many people see it as possible.

The Do It Now Foundation is a not-for-profit publisher of drug education and prevention materials, we've been doing this since 1968. We have over 140 over our best and current publications available to online users, which we believe are some of the strongest available in the field today.

Topics related to Erowid's site content include publications on amphetamines, cannabis, alcohol, heroin, hallucinogens, and club drugs. We have educational pamphlets and bibliographic publications in text and Acrobat format, along with a variety of our posters and booklets. We'd love to get your comments and links to your pages when we complete the next section of the site.

Much praise is due to those who bring the light of experience to others, not to those who merely rattle others birdcages with the darkness of lies.
The story that I emailed you of my account of DMT and schizophrania I think would be a great tool for those yearning for the experience. It may help some descide whether to do it or not. DMT is so confusing, and there is just no way to prepare for it. I know that somewhere out there somone is saying that it can't be that intense, and they are the fool, for they have already judged it...

There needs to be a chat room here for insomniacs like me who don't want to talk to a room full of cyberesex freaks in the AOL rooms!
I know that no one really likes to talk about heroin- totally understandable, but I thought you should have had some first hand accounts of heroin use. That might sound kind of crazy, but there are people doing it and they really might need some info to do it safely. I know a lot of people who wont have anything to do with anyone who does heroin and think that it's a classless, loser junnkie-ass thing to d, hopefully you don't feel that way because you have a great informative sight. i could give you a lot of info if you want it, I know a hell of a lot more than i wish i did.I'm not saying people should do it, but it's the same issue as the needle exchange. There are junkies out there and they've got to be safe.
