Use of the potent psychedelics 25I-NBOMe and 25C-NBOMe has been on the rise over the last three years, and has resulted in at least a dozen deaths. Because NBOMes are sometimes sold on blotter paper, they may be accidentally or intentionally misrepresented as LSD.
With NBOMe compounds being sold on blotter as LSD, we went in search of someone who had confirmed samples of both drugs and used commonly available LSD field tests to determine how easy it was to differentiate LSD from NBOMes. [Photo Essay]
Although it has been known for over fifty years that LSD fluoresces (glows) when exposed to ultraviolet light, we had the opportunity to photograph fresh liquid LSD, seven-year-old liquid LSD, and 25I-NBOMe being exposed to both long and short wave UV light. [Photo Essay]
Zoe Seven was an intrepid and pioneering psychonaut who combined mind machine technology with numerous psychedelics, detailing his findings and ideas within a couple of autobiographical books. We were saddened to learn of his death this past July, and have created this character vault in his honor.
