Drug Geek Factlet
On August 21st, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to place 5-MeO-DMT into Schedule I. This powerful psychedelic substance is naturally occurring in dozens of plants, a toad, and human beings. It has been sold to entheogen enthusiasts as a pure chemical since at least 1985.

The Drug Enforcement Administration publishes information about drugs they seize in the Microgram Bulletin. We have gathered their 2007-2009 ecstasy tablet testing results and published them on Read up on what's been sold as Ecstasy recently.
On August 17th, Earth and Fire gave a continuing medical education lecture at Providence Tarzana Medical Center in Los Angeles. It was an interesting experience, as only one of the attendees had heard of Erowid!
This newly discovered document summarizes Myron Stolaroff's first carbogen sessions, administered by Al Hubbard in 1956 as preparation for the LSD experience. Stolaroff went on to do groundbreaking research with both carbogen and LSD.

    Casey Hardison, an entheogenic activist fighting imprisonment in the U.K. for manufacture of LSD, DMT, and 2C-B, recently filed an appeal on the basis that the UK Government administers the law arbitrarily. Three related briefs have been added to his character vault.
Ecstasy Data is a project of Erowid Center that conducts laboratory testing of street Ecstasy tablets and publishes the results online.
