The day started out fantastic. Me, my girlfriend and a good friend of ours was out at my cabin. We had brought with us mushrooms (Psilocybin cubensis Mexican), Banisteriopsis caapi, some changa (DMT infused on caapi), a joint with hash oil and methoxetamine.

We started by ingesting 3g mushrooms each. It was a nice day. The sun was shining and the trip spent outside listening to music and watching nature. At one point we went down to the ocean and spent what felt like hours (more likely around 20 minutes) looking into the ocean at the fishes, studying the wonderful world underwater, it felt like an alien planet just under the surface. If the water had been a little warmer I would have loved to take a swim.

The trip was nothing really special, it was lighthearted and euphoric with a decent amount of visuals, but lacked the spiritual aspect of mushrooms that I really enjoy. We rolled a joint with some caapi and hash to smoke later. Caapi has a wonderful synergy with mushrooms and I really like the taste, look, smell and effect of a caapi joint when I am tripping.

We were contemplating smoking some changa, but could not reach an agreement so we decided to insufflate a small amount of methoxetamine (15mg). I had read positive experiences with people mixing it with 4-AcO-DMT so I assumed it would work equally well in combination with mushrooms.

As we were coming up on the methoxetamine we decided to smoke the joint (with B. caapi and cannabis). We walked for 5 minutes to get a fantastic view over the landscape. This is where it started going bad.

As soon as the joint was finished my girlfriend had some anxiety, focused around heart issues. This freaked me out and I soon started having a panic attack as well, elevated pulse, heavy breathing, disoriented. We were about a 5 minutes from my cabin and had to rush back. During this short walk I experienced a 'white out'. Suddenly I noticed my vision was getting brighter, I experienced an intense build up of white in my vision along with a sound similar to a DMT breakthrough. I lost all vision and hearing for a few seconds. Not wanting to panic the others any more than I already had I tried to keep my cool. It was hard to walk, hard to focus. The only thing on my mind was that I had to get back home and lie down and relax.

As I got inside I just lay down on the floor (which luckily was prepared with mattresses and pillows). It was a frightening experience and I had trouble relaxing afterwards. It wasn't a trainwreck trip, I just had anxiety (mostly about heart failure) and trouble holding a straight thought. After about an hour of this I had the most amazing connection with my girlfriend. As we lay there on the ground looking into each others eyes it was like I was back the moment we fell in love. I could feel the EXACT same emotions, and felt safe by her side.

I suspect it was due to a bad reaction with caapi and methoxetamine (it totally slipped my mind that we had rolled the joint with caapi leaves). But I will not combine methoxetamine with mushrooms in the future either.

I have since read that the 'white out' might have been caused by blood pressure going down abruptly and then coming back right away. It was a scary experience, and something I hope never to experience again.
