20 mg oral Hydrocodone
  2 g oral Acetaminophen

I was prescribed vicodin for a recent tooth extraction and only had 4 left. Decided it would be nice to go out with a bang. (I'd take 2 or 3 at a time just to get that warm mellow feeling.) It was about 7 pm and I knew I had to get up around 3 am for work the next day, and my back was pretty sore so I figured 'What the hell', and downed the pills. So I hop into bed and turn on the netflix.

I'm feeling slightly itchy and euphoric, dozing off about halfway through an episode of Life After People. I start to have dreams/thoughts about one freaky thing after another. I remember one of the sequences was me seeing some girls face turn inside out then POOF I wake up. In another sequence some guy at a club throws me up in the air and I land on a skewer, or a chair or something and this dude says something about vomit. I then tasted blood and vomit in my mouth. At that point in my dream I decide to wake up because I think I may be choking on vomit in my bed. (Gross I know) So I awoke. I looked at the clock and only a few minutes had passed. I did that a few times. I believe these were somewhere between dreams and hallucinations. I lay there for a while attributing these thoughts to the drug, but there was nothing I could do about it.

I tried to think happy thoughts lying there about to fall asleep again, but every time I tried to think of something good my mind would wander off to something extremely dark. I remember looking at my open bedroom doorway and thinking some shadowy figure ought to be standing there. If not in the doorway, then off to the side out of my sight.

I fell asleep somewhere around 11pm. I got to work in time but had a strange feeling of depression all day. I remember feeling like I was totally lost, people would tell me a jokes and I didn't care nothing had any meaning. Gladly however this wave of depression was gone the next day.

This is why I don't use hallucinogens. I'm afraid of what might happen.
