My first encounter with this beloved substance of mine was introduced to me by my friends. Sold for $80 for a strip (containing 10 pills, blister packed), I bought two pills (5mg each) off a friend of mine. So did my other friend, let's call him A.
From where I come from, the pills are usually taken with either black coffee, coca-cola, Redbull (energy drink) or beer. The pink pills are placed under your tongue and one must slowly sip on any of the beverages previously mentioned.
The first pill I took was during class. It tasted a little sweet on my tongue. This was followed by sipping on some Redbull. 10 minutes passed and I soon felt the initial effects.
It felt like I had downed a couple of beers and I found myself in a happier mood. A had took two at one go and was feeling the same as I did.
I then decided to get up from my seat and made my way to the toilet. My coordination was slightly impaired, colours seemed brighter and my vision took on a soft focus too. I felt like the world around me was turning into a soft, friendlier place, all these while having a smile on my face.
After relieving ourselves, A and I decided to get some fresh air. As we headed to the smoking venue, all I could remember was the fresh afternoon breeze with the trees swaying calmly, bathed in warm sunlight. It was a beautiful day.
The cigarettes tasted perfect as A and I talked away.
To cut the story short, I went home and had dinner and being a usually quiet person, I found myself chatting and having a pleasant conversation with my family during dinner.
I had no trouble falling asleep but when I woke up, I had trouble remembering what had happened the day before. As though yesterday I lived my day through a cozy and pretty, smooth and warm haze. Not bad for just $16.
