*** *******'s DMT (Dimethyltryptamine) Experience
I was with a friend and my date looking for pot at the bars when I stumbled across a guy who looked like he would have pot. Turns out the dude had DMT, something I had never tried but I always wanted to. Me and my buddy brought the guy (a veteran of making and smoking DMT) back to our apartment (left the date at the bar)

We got back and packed a small bowl in his water pipe (bong) and fired it up. We had to let it melt into cigarette ashes packing into the bowl first before we inhaled. Our first rips were small and the feeling was immediate. It was mellow and felt like I was on lots of opiates (like I had smoked opium while I was on morphine.) I instantly got the giggles like I do on mushrooms and began laughing hysterically at my friend.

We decided it was time. Time to “go under”

Keep in mind that I had heavy amounts of alcohol in my system before I began smoking.

As I inhaled deeply, the large water pipe (bong) filled up massively to the point that looking down I knew I wouldn’t be able to clear it. I had a very difficult time with the heavy load of smoke because it was a harsh plastic tasting smoke and I thought I was going to throw up – It seriously was THAT much smoke. I guess I was really trying to “blast off!”

I unintentionally exhaled (as I was told to hold it in by the veteran) because my lungs could not possibly deal with the pressure and pain. The vet told me to hit it again and I thought he was crazy, so I cleared the chamber.

*FYI – the next few paragraphs describe what happened in seconds

Less than five seconds after exhaling:

Just like before, my body felt like I had just consumed 80 milligrams of morphine (relaxed, warm, and compressed). While I was still coughing, my vision became hazy along with most other senses. Within a second, my mind and vision took a sharp g turn, spiraling into a vortex of colors and images.

All I remember thinking was, “Man I hope I don’t throw up (remember, I am still slightly coughing and have a plastic taste in my mouth.” But while all of this was happening, I had remembered that this very scenario happened before (It had never happened before). This thought began as soon as things went wiry. As soon as my mind and vision began to plummet I had the most remarkable memory that this had happened and I was worried that it was happening again (because I felt sick.) *I once had this very similar misfire of neurons (false memories of Déjà vu) when I was tripping hard on some Oregon hydroponic mushrooms once.* Although this thought occurred in less than a second, it is the only thing I remembered as I began “blasting off.”

My stomach still felt like I was pulling several g’s as I saw several colors and images that one only hopes to retell. Everything was four dimensional and several calming and common (but unrecognizable) faces were looking at me in my visions. These faces helped me calm down because I had seen something familiar. Each face was smiling and spinning in a tornado-like spin fashion.

Several seconds after exhaling:

I don’t remember much except hearing my friend ask if I was ok and the vet told him that I was in the full effect, saying they should leave me to my own imagination. Many other tornado-like images were spinning like the faces but these were ancient letters; very Egyptian-like. The tablets of scripture had the most amazing designs on them.

I am a very vocal/social tripper, I like to keep people informed as to what is going on in my head so I don’t forget what happened and so we can share our experiences. I remember when I saw the faces, I yelled, “faces!” When I saw the scripture I yelled “letters!” And so on and so forth. While I do not remember many of the other images I saw, the faces and scripture stood out to me; besides the fact that everything was in 4d too. Also, I kept saying I was in the “Fourth Dimension.”

This ordeal continued for probably about three minutes until I was able to open my eyes finally. I was still tripping harder than I had ever before on acid or mushrooms. I remember that the only light in the room was a trippy lamp that had dancing lights scattering everywhere. I also remember that I had been profoundly sweating (I had not sweat this bad EVER before), probably due to the fact that I had thought I was going to throw up the force/spin was so intense.

All along I had felt that there were several people in the room when I was “under.” When my vision came back to me I realized I remembered I was in a living room with two friends. The whole time before that though, I had thought that several people were in the room along with a “god” or motherly presence (later on me and my friends thought that maybe god was a women or that our world is nature and that nature is motherly and that is why people call it mother nature.)

Speech was horrendous. Neither of us could talk, all we could make out were simple syllables and short words. Sentences were stutters. All I could do was think and rub my head because it felt so good.

While all this was going on, great music was playing in the background. Overall, the entire atmosphere was such a great atmosphere, the vet really set the tone.

Even when discussion was difficult and the trip was dying down but still very powerful, we had very good discussion. In fact, for the rest of the night, great discussion on what was important in life and what life really meant and all of the things that structured life and so on made the night very satisfying.

Even after an hour had passed and everything was calm again, I was still able to go “down under” into the Fourth Dimension much to my surprise. I hit the sucker again with intensity because I did not believe it could happen twice in one night and sure enough, I was in the Fourth Dimension again.

The rest of the night was very chill; I made a few drinks and relaxed. Would have really enjoyed some pot to end the night but the whole reason we found the DMT was because our pot connect was out.

I have experienced DMT once or twice more since then and have loved it every time. What I enjoy so much about it is that it doesn’t make my body hurt the next day like ecstasy, cocaine, and acid. Also it lasts the perfect time – 30 minutes, unlike acid or mushrooms, when I feel like enough is enough around 5 hours in. It is mind clearing and an adventure that a guy in a city who isn’t surrounded by large landscapes of lakes and mountains can have.

The only side effect I have noticed since then (and maybe I am just noticing it now than before I smoked DMT) is when I look at a screen then look away, I see traces of those colors like I did intensely when tripping.
