I am a heavy Hydocodone user. I have a script for 60 500/10g tabs (plus a refill) once a month. I go through approx 10-15 a day when I have them and have been on this dose for over 2 years now. I love them for the high and hate them because I am fully addicted and generally get sick when I take more than 6 at a time. I take them with a pad of butter or milk and tums as they are fat soluable. Point is, I know how to get the most out of them. I take xanax in between refills or whatever other opioid I can get my hands on. I don't drink but love pills. I have lost a lot thanks to my abuse.
I haven't had any hydro's for a few days and just took 2mg Buprenorphine under the tongue. I feel relaxed, empathetic, and not craving my hydro's at all which is completely amazing!

Don't get me wrong, I look forward to my next script but the Buprenorphine definately helps with withdrawals. I'm not clenching my teeth or jaws which happens even when I am high on opiates, I feel 'normal' like I did before I started abusing hydros. It's relaxing, I feel functional and sane.
Buprenorphine does not give me the energy boost of opiates but there is a mild high (very mild) more like a small dose of MDMA and a toke of weed. Like how anti-depressants SHOULD make me feel.
I have had 4 cups of coffee this morning (I took the Buprenorphine first thing when I woke up) and could keep typing for hours but I do not feel jittery caffeinated. Anyway to summerize:
Mild high not like opiates (at 2 mg today and 2mg yesterday)
Feel relaxed
Feel 'normal' like I did before I discovered the wonders of opiates
Dry mouth
No itching like opiates
Not much pain relief like opiates
Able to focus and concentrate well
A lot of people say they get them really high or 'fucked up' but that is not the case for me (probably because I take 120 hydro's a month!).
