Large Doses Not for Inexperienced Users

This is a report of a guy I met at a festival based on my observations. This guy frequently used LSD and other such psychadelics. However, he was NOT prepared for DOI, especially in such a large dose.

[T + 00] (estimated 10PM) - takes 20-25 mg of DOI. I don't know when he took it (we guess around 10PM), but we found him at about three completely incoherent and unable to remember his own name.

[T + 05] He could not talk or walk straight. Kept falling down. I called my friend J over who is very very experienced with drugs to try and bring him back to reality. Administers unknown dose of beta blockers (one round pill with an M on it - very hard to get him to take it).

[T + 07] Two hours later, little sign of improvement, he keeps muttering 'I forgot,' thrashing at the air, and dancing to music that wasn't there. His eyes were not moving in the same direction. Pupils completely dilated. J was able to calm him down - he seemed to be having a good time but was completely obliterated by the drug.

[T + 09] Another two hours go by (about 6 am at this time). We finally get him to lie down and pass out. He wakes up 30 min later and starts to form sentences but is still obviously impaired (sentences start but go on into gibberish). He remembers his name. Claims he doesn't think the trip will ever end and that he has been sent to another dimension. Says it was the best trip of his life but that he doesn't remember any of it. He is convinced that three weeks have passed since he took the drug. Only at this time we found out he had taken DOI and not a massive dose of 2C-E as we originally suspected (J thought right away that it could be DOI).

We left about an hour later, leaving the guy with his friends to watch him as we had restored him to some functionality.

Long story short: the dealer who recommended against me buying DOI was right - it is NOT for people who cannot REALLY REALLY handle their shit. A large dose of this can send someone into a completely different realm of reality - one that can be incredibly intense, and frightening for those around you to observe.
