About a week ago I got a call from my friend M asking if I wanted to hang out. I said sure so M and S came and picked me up. We drove around for a while then settled on picking up some weed from another friend.

We grabbed the weed and smoked while driving around on some side-streets. Everything was going well. I was pretty high even though the bowl wasn't finished. Instead of quitting while I was ahead I continued to smoke. After a few more turns, the bowl was finally cashed.

I lit up a cigarette and smoked it by the window in the car. I felt reality splitting in two. It's tough to describe but it was almost as if the world outside the car was an illusion projected onto the windows.

After a while I started to feel something that, at the time, I could not understand. After a while of struggling with the feeling S told me that he had to drop me off because he had to be home soon. This was fine with me as I was feeling extremely ill.

The ride home seemed infinitely long. Every moment I was growing more and more nauseous. After a while of my silence M looked into the back seat where I was and chirped 'You okay there, buddy?' to which I replied 'Oh, I'm just... Oh...'

They both realized that I was not feeling very well and S handed me a plastic shopping bag with the request that if I need to vomit, please vomit into the bag.

After what seemed like hours, we were finally about 200 yards from my house when I had to get out of the car to puke. It was the worst, most disgusting experience of my life. Most likely because I was high and convinced myself I was vomiting up worms and dirt. I got a hold of myself and calmed down and walked with M the short way to my house.

I got inside of my house still feeling nauseous so I thought music might make me feel better. It only made it worse. My next thoughts were of a shower and brushing my teeth. After entering my bathroom and picking up my toothbrush I felt like using it would cause me to vomit again so I settled for some mouthwash. Actually I washed out my mouth about 5 times.

I got in the shower and turned it on and immediately felt as if I was trapped. I finished my shower as quickly as possible, got half-dressed and climbed into bed. I fell asleep with Saturday Night Live on my tv at about 11:30.

I woke up at about 3:30 with the tv still on and just starting to come down from the high. I sat up in bed and saw a picture of Tiny Tim on my wall that I put up as a joke and, at the time, would have sworn it was the face of the devil. I fixed my gaze on it for a few minutes and finally built up my courage to bolt out of bed and tear the picture off of the wall.

The next morning my iPod alarm clock woke me to Tiny Tim's 'Living in the Sunlight, Loving in the Moonlight.'
