Questions Instantly Answered
Salvia divinorum (tea) & Cannabis
Citation:   God Cell. "Questions Instantly Answered: An Experience with Salvia divinorum (tea) & Cannabis (exp69980)". Erowid.org. Mar 7, 2016. erowid.org/exp/69980

DOSE:
1 g oral Salvia divinorum (tea)
BODY WEIGHT: 145 lb
I wanted a better experience with Salvia that lasted longer than a minute, and one that I could noticeably distinguish the come-up, the peak, etc.

I still feel weird today from this, and my pupils are oddly still big. I don't know how safe this is; a full blown 45 minute loss-of-ego would be crazy, especially since I had no sitter, but this did not happen. Still, I would not encourage it, because I definitely had a Salvia trip.

I made tea out of one gram of 30X extract; effects were noticeable within 10 mins; peak effects were noticable at about 30 mins. The trip was carried out in a meditation setting.

I was having intense closed-eye visions of an extreme-psychedelic, Alex Grey type nature. They were absolutely spectacular. Note: I smoked a bowl of Cannabis throughout the experience as well.

I was shown the meaning of life, which was revealed to me as evolution. From the smallest particles to the most advanced beings, the universe is an evolutionary hierarchy. When I opened my eyes, there seemed to be auras or something moving in the air. The air almost looked like their were semi-visible spirits dancing in it or something. I get visions like this from Magic Mushrooms and LSD as well. I felt very safe and protected by whatever was around me. This is one major difference from smoking Salvia; sometimes the 'entities' I encounter in an out-of-this-reality smoked-salvia experience don't seem very friendly, or at least the male never seems friendly. The female seems protective; the male seems pissed.

When I turned on the TV, questions that came up in my head seemed to be instantly answered by expressions people made on TV. One thing I wanted personal insight on, a voice from the TV responded with 'you're asking the wrong questions.' I thought about this, and realized I had already been revealed the answer, I just lacked faith in it.

Whereas other psychedelics open doors of the mind for sure, this one judges and aids as if it actually embodies the spirit of the Divine. It is not uncommon to get a straight up slap in the face, especially when a high-potency extract is smoked.

This is truly a magical herb, not necessarily a fun one, though it has allowed me to have quite a good time. The flushing is what annoys me about it. Salvia has also put memories in my head (e.g. my roomate trying it and having a shared experience with me) that apparently never happened, unless my friends are just telling me that to fuck with me or somethin' which isn't cool. Don't fuck with people on Salvia, because they could have an experience that is very hard to integrate into reality. If you make the experience harder to integrate, it can cause real problems.

I believe in the magic of all existence and of this plant. There is pure meaning in the experiences, and they are realities whether they happened collectively with mankind or not.
