Well, when properly mixed, cannabis can actually help one reduce the consumption of and cravings for alcohol.

I used to be a 12 pack a night drinker. I started smoking and after smoking the schwag I was getting, nothing much happened, except no hangover to speak of. In December, I managed to get my hands on some better stuff. Well, after several weeks, I noticed that my dependance on alcohol was greatly reduced. Practically overnight, I went from 12 beers a night to about 2. Sometimes, I still overdo it. But I don't have the all consuming need to drink anymore
