I chew the leaves of this shrub quite regularly. It is relaxing and quite clarifying.
I found that more is not really better or different. It seems to be about the same experience no matter how much I chew. I hold the chewed mass in my mouth to maximize sublingual input.
It is said that the Secuoya of Ecuador employ it as an hallucinigen.
They must be cooking it on down.
