I've been an addict for about 4 years now, and I'm only 22. After 2 years or so of regular vicodin, yada yada, opiates, I moved up to heroin, first sniffing, then when I got a tolerance, IV. This was the beginning of the end for me. I ran out of money as soon as I got it, nearly wrecked my car from nodding out. Eventually I lost my license for 2 dui's within a year. This still didn't stop me, I would ride a damn bike into Detroit if I had to, and I did. Its kind of insane to think of a pretty small white boy like me goin into the ghetto like that, but I stopped at nothing.

Eventually after 2 years of in and out of rehab and suboxone, etc. I overdosed really really bad. I woke up in the hospital a day later and found out what happened. I had passed out in a bathroom of a gas station in a strange position, the attendant found me after about 8 hours. I had cut off circulation in my right leg, its called compartment syndrome. Also, my kidneys failed! SO.....I had surgery before I woke up, they sliced my leg open down the sides and put in a catheder for dialysis. I still live with pain everyday, and cannot move my right foot.
