I have had it prescribed for adult ADD several times over the years. I happen to prefer Dexedrine (dextro-amphetamine) as a rule, but have found it beneficial to switch to the Desoxyn every once in awhile in order to re-evaluate the performance of the Dexedrine.

I am currently in the midst of trying Desoxyn again at the present moment. This drug is very expensive compared to other prescription amphetamines at $2.00 or more per pill. I personally have found it to be one of the most effective, and therapeutic of all the prescription stimulants available on the market today in the USA. I have also found that it has the fewest side effects of all the prescription stimulants by far.
