I was regularly smoking pot from around 16-17. No big problems occrued except for a decent amount of unusual anxiety. I tried shrooms at a rough time in my life looking for a quick fix or enlightment of any sort. The trip lasted only 4 hours, but it was horrible. I recovered from the trip within a week or so. I didn't discontinue my drug abuse. From there I still smoked budz and eventually started using a little cocaine. The coke didn't last for long, because in the midst of abuse I realized the drugs weren't working like they usually did. I made the conclusion that had become too stressful for the drug use to continue. When I quit smoking, drinking, and using cocaine I expected that things would get better. Not long after I quit using I had somewhat of a nervous breakdown. It was very similar to my trip on shrooms and I started thinking I was stuck this way. Luckily within about a week or two the symptoms started to reside, but I am now stuck with a funny vision problem. Objects seem to always leave an afterimage that floats on the wall. The shadows of tv screens and computer screens continure to float on the wall long after I look at the TV. It's hard to ignore this type of problem.
