DOSE:
1 cig. smoked Cannabis (plant material)
BODY WEIGHT: 150 lb
[Erowid Note: Some authors report suspicions that their cannabis has been 'laced' (adulterated), in some cases, presumably with PCP. While this is possible, readers should be aware that idiosyncratic response to the effects of cannabis (usually higher doses) can lead some users to presume their cannabis has been 'laced'. There is no way to know if the cannabis in the report below was adulterated or not. Reports of plant material and cannabis laced with powerful synthetic cannabinoids and other psychoactive substances became more common starting in 2007.]
About 2 months ago I scored some pot which I later found out was laced with PCP. The pot was very crystally, but I figured it was THC. I rolled it into a large joint and smoked the entire thing alone. It did taste a little bitter, and it was tougher on the lungs than usual, making me cough. Perhaps 10 seconds after I finished, I felt an uneasy tingling sensation. If I could put in words it would be 'Uh-oh... Something's wrong.'

A short moment later I got a headache and it gradually got worse. It felt like my brain was attacking me, shaking violently in my skull and it was really painful.

When I got up I felt physically disoriented. I couldn't feel anything I was doing, and I would only vaguely realize what was going on after 2 second delayments. I made it into my bedroom and I became very scared and felt like I was going permanently insane. I was quite sure I was going to die.

This followed with a headrush. I thought of various things simultaneously rather than one thought after another like we normally do. And then hallucinations kicked in, both auditory and visually. The noises were entirely random, mainly bangs and clanking and words that I could not understand. I probably could have enjoyed the visuals but I was too freaked out, I've never done drugs and this was the first time I smoked my own weed

. At first, colors became more vivid and intense. Everything was 'swirling' in place. Finally, I got hallucinations so intense that I could see literally nothing but a wall of psychedellic patterns and shapes. They kept morphing, pixelating, melting...

My senses slowly recovered but the fear remained. I called my friend to spot me, and he didn't pick up. I left a message and tried my best to form a sentence, because my vocabulary felt garbled. I spent the night alone, trying to wait it off. I slowly settled down after a few more hours. The next day was the 'crash', which left me miserable and slightly delusional. That lasted for almost a week. I haven't smoked since.
