Have been taking Xanax for several years due to intermittant panic attacks. Found that used proactively before going to bed allows a more restful sleep, although somewhat groggy the next morning. Very mellow and nice calming effect. Used to call it the 'don't give a shit pill' because under high stress situations (divorce court, job stress)the shitheads don't bother me in the least. With 10mg of Morphine added, created a feeling similar to a warm cozy blanket out of the dryer in the winter. Usually I toss and turn trying to find a comfortable position at night, with the morphine it was like sleeping on a cloud. Didn't notice any 'high' feeling, per se, just mellow. Morphine caused extreme dry mouth during the night however and had to fight and claw myself to awake for something to drink. No after effects in the AM.
