As I had nothing to do for several days except studying and feeling bad (emotionally), I decided to do some shrooms to have a little fun and lift my spirits a bit, as I always do with shrooms. I first made myself a bit of passion flower tea to boost my trip a little. I have a relatively high tolerance for psilocybes and everything that could make it stronger helps.
When I went to look at my stash, however, I noticed that I was all out and all I had left was a 10 gram bag of dried fly agaric. The people at the smartshop even stapled some instructions to it. It said in all caps that a first time user should not exceed 5 grams. It also said that 10 grams was required for a mild trip. 10 grams it was.
I emptied the bag in some boiling water, while I added three bags of vanilla green tea to the passion flower. The instructions also said not to combine with caffeine, but I doubted it would effect it much.
After 30 minutes, I strained the amanita tea, mixed it with the other tea, and added a bit of artificial sweetener, as I was out of sugar and the stores were closed. The small mushroom fragments were put in a seperate glass. I had heard that eating it would make you vomit and I don't particularly like vomiting.
Time to drink and play the waiting game! The taste wasn't as unpleasant as I'd heard. I've had far, far worse. Less than an hour later I felt a slight tingling sensation all over my body.
Less than an hour later I felt a slight tingling sensation all over my body.
Unfortunately for me, nothing else happened and the sensation passed soon enough. I sometimes react quite differently to certain drugs, so I was afraid it might just have no effect on me.
Still, I hoped I just screwed up the tea and took the mushrooms I'd soaked in water early and threw them in a pan along with two eggs and some spices. Didn't taste great, but it was edible. Once again I played the waiting game.
About an hour later I felt, you guessed it, tingling! I don't know how long that lasted, but even that disappeared after a while. It would have been cheaper to just sit on my hand and then I'd get a much more intense feeling!
Suffice to say, I'm never doing this again. I wasted money on tingling sensations. I feel kind of screwed over. I know it does work on some of my friends (including the joys of vomiting), but I guess I'm just damned with a high tolerance.
