This isn't the first time I took Dramamine as an attempt to trip, it's the second. The first time I took about 600mg and the entire experience consisted of being really really sleepy and seeing about one square foot of wall ripple for a few minutes.
Thinking that maybe I had simply fallen asleep before the really good stuff happened, I picked up two bottles of non-drowsy formula Dramamine at the store and didn't realize until I got home that it was a different chemical. After research, I decided to eat my last bottle of regular strength Dramamine and use the non-drowsy formula in case I needed a boost at some point as the non-drowsy stuff has weaker effects.
So I ate the whole bottle of regular strength at once, ate some pizza and waited. And waited and waited and waited. I didn't have any other drugs in my system at the time, just for general info. After about an hour and a half, I had only felt some slight heaviness about thirty minutes after taking the first batch of pills, so I decided it was time to start in on the non-drowsy formula. I thought it best to take it slowly, 2 more pills every half hour until I started feeling something so I wouldn't take more than necessary. Three and a half hours later, I ate the remaining six pills out of frustration, waited about another hour and a half and went to bed.
Woke up this morning, no headache or hang over sort of things. I pretty much felt nothing. Nothing good and nothing bad. I am considering trying it again with just regular strength Dramamine, but I suspect I might have some sort of a tolerance or different programming.
It's not really disappointing, more like frustrating. I really wanted to see things move and distort.
I really wanted to see things move and distort.
I had colored lights on to make the wall patterns (fake wood grain) look really interesting, but still, nothing. Just figured I would share in case it might help contribute to the FAQ or at least give people who don't feel anything the comfort in knowing they're not alone. It just sucks knowing that there's this thing that people can do to see all sorts of interesting things and the fabric of space and whatnot, but when I do it nothing happens.
