This was my 5th or 6th time experimenting with salvia, but only my 2nd time with an extract. All of my previous experiences had been complete failures, with the exception of a /very/ mellow light-headed feeling.

I had just smoked a bowl of kind bud about 10 minutes earlier, but I wasnt stoned, just buzzed. I think this effected the trip a little bit.

I had a 'sitter' (it was more like a friend who wanted to watch me trip...I would have done it if he wasn't there, feeling pretty confident that I would not need a sitter - probably a stupid thing to think). He wasn't a good choice as a sitter, because the best way I can describe him is as an inexperienced kid just starting to experiment with drugs, who's idea of fun is getting 'fucked up', and who doesn't see the bigger picture yet - the spiritual side of drug use (I'm talking about hallucinogens...I dont think there is a spiritual side to snorting a line of coke or shooting up some heroin).

He was sitting across the room, watching me, as I put enough of the powdered extract in a small wook pipe for 2 big hits, or maybe 3 medium-sized ones. I smoked it all, got it down in 3 hits because it tasted horrible as usual, and held them all in for 20-30 seconds each.

I noticed a new feeling, the 'pulling' feeling that many people describe about salvia. It was sort of uncomfortable, because it felt like I was being pulled in every direction at once. In the center of my room it looked like there was a black hole or something, everything was getting sucked into a void, including me. This is where the sitter ruined it...

'Hey, are you feeling anything?'
'Yeah'
'look at this website its funny...'

I was frustrated but I didnt say anything, I just packed some more salvia into the pipe and took a couple more hits. The void was back, and now I felt a really uncomfortable tingling, like everything that touched my skin was almost painful, and everything tingled. At the same time, I was still being pulled into the void and everything in my vision was rippling. I was just getting into it and closing my eyes to see what I would experience when he snapped me out of it again, and this time the feeling was almost totally gone.

He kept asking dumb questions and saying pointless stuff, and I got more and more annoyed. I think part of the uncomfortable feeling was due to my frustration with my 'sitter'. After this, I was all out of the salvia and left with a shitty half-high feeling from the weed I smoked earlier.

I do recommend having a sitter, but make sure its a smart one, not one like I had who will ruin your trip. After the experience I felt like I missed something, and I have since wanted to go back and experience the drug with no distractions. It wanted to show me something, but I was being dragged back by my only connection to reality: my clueless friend.
