Where I live in Brookline, MA, DXM is tested for in high school drug tests. DXM became a 'problem' here after a few kids spread the easy high to other kids and it exploded. Many kids who were suspected to be high in school got caught when teachers sent them to the nurse while obviously high (but unknown to the uneducated teachers, on DXM). There they recieved testing and almost all tested positive for opiates (false positive from DXM). Recently the school's standard testing has been expanded to include DXM because of the widespread 'abuse problem'. Not that this is of any use to anybody outside of the Brookline entheogen community, but it is an example of what may begin to happen all over the country if DXM use continues to rise.
