Having been an experienced user of mushrooms orally, naturally I was curious about the effects of smoking them. For my first experement I smoked just under 1g of psilocybe cubensis mixed with cannabis which produced little or no effect other than that of the cannabis. Dissapointed, I later tried smoking more (both cap and stem portions)without the cannibis and experienced a very mild dream like state similar to a weak cannabis high. Dissapointed again I then ceased my experements until recently while coming down from a mushroom trip a friend suggested that we attempt to smoke a few small caps this time psilocybe azurescens at first I was skeptical but after smoking the caps was surprised to find that I was once again tripping very hard even though I had already peaked almost an hour previously. I was so excited that later in the week I tried again under the same conditions and produced the same effect however when smoked alone while sober it produced only the same results as p. cubensis. My best conclusion is that smoking psilocybin mushrooms only has an effect when already under the influence of psilocybin.
