This should be filed under anecdotal at best, but I thought it was interesting enough to let others know about it. I recently shared a small amount of salvia with a friend who is a diagnosed schizophrenic. According to him he is quite heavily medicated (I'm sorry, I couldn't tell you exactly what) but, despite constant adjustments to his prescriptions, he has been unable to silence the voices in his head. After taking one large hit of salvia, holding it for twenty seconds, then exhaling, he reported that for the first time that he can remember the voices stopped for a few minutes. Interesting...
