Participants: 55m and 52f, short and thin, both fairly experienced psychonauts.

Set and setting. We had previously used metocin about 3 years ago, but the 55m found this compound to be extremely anxiety provoking on its own, to the point that this anxiety crashed the prior trip. However, the psychedelic effects of metocin were really fascinating and we both wanted to explore this again, and this time, in a hippie-flip-type format . This current experience occurred at our private home, starting at 1700 pm. Our calculations were that we should have been approaching sober by 1 am at latest (this was not the case, see below).

T=0. We took a half-dose of 3-fea to suppress anxiety. Within 3d minutes, we felt mild effects of a come up. We spent these first thirty minutes just getting comfortable, deciding on playlists, finishing the preparation of our space, et cetera.

T=30m. We were sufficiently feeling the come up that we proceeded with taking the metocin. 52F took her 20 mg metocin at once, since she handles psychelics better. 55m took 10 mg at 30 minutes and 10 mg at 60 minutes. We both started to feel the combined effects of 3-fea and metocin within 20 minutes.

T=1h. At this point, the experience was getting intense. Closed eye visuals were strongly present and we were really starting to hallucinate. Heavily visual, rounder and smoother compared to LSD. Paintings in the room began to shimmer and morph. Staring at each others’ faces, we noticed that it was like layers were evaporating off the surface of the face. As if the top layer of skin were volatile. Eyes were totally hypnotic, staring into each others’ eyes was languid and extremely pleasurable. Again, compared to LSD, this experience was far more mellow and mystical. There was little to no anxiety, especially for 55m when compared to prior experience. We are pretty sure the 3-fea helped a lot with that aspect. It also likely potentiated the metocin.

T=2h. Here, we began to experiment with nitrous and amyl nitrites. Nitrous was fun but not very memorable; great for a small energy boost mainly. In contrast, poppers extraordinarily intensified the psychedelic trip. Eye gazing erased the boundary between us, affording an experience of profound and erotic unity. We both noticed patterns on each other’s faces and bodies, and the surrounding environment appeared to liquify. This was as intense as it sounds. Examples of closed eye hallucinations included: radiant fairy castles lined with tracers of fire, spirals of different colors forming, geometric patterns manifesting also in a diversity of colors. Videos of us during the metocin peak showed that, despite feeling like we were in the middle of a tremendous psychedelic storm, we were in fact calm, introspective, and composed. This plateau (easily +++ on shulgin scale) was about 2 hours long.

T=3.5-4h. With the metocin effects beginning to wane, we consumed redoses of 3-fea to finish the night as more of a rolling experience. The fresh infusion of 3-fea re-activated the metocin edge , and we noticed a re-brightening of the kinds of effects we described above. This was alongside the expected empathic effects from 3-fea. Note that the come up from this redose of 3-fea was incredibly fast, and we were very high very quickly, much quicker than the initial dosage. While on the 3-fea peak, we focused on sex experiences, which included poppers and nitrous.

T=6.5h. We came down from the 3-fea plateau (+++), smoothly landing on a (+) state by 7.5h or so. However, this baseline was more persistent that we usually see for 3-fea. Indeed, we remained awake, not entirely willingly and not entirely sober with continuing CEVs, until T=11h. We think this was potentially caused by synergy between metocin and 3-fea.

T=15h. We woke up feeling a mixture of sleep deprivation and a bit of post-roll blues. This report is written day after the experience, so we may have a few more rough days ahead. We shall see.
