I wanna start off by saying, I was on a rehab from 2015 to 2017. I have a mixed addiction, mainly from codeine, stimulants, and anything else I could get my hands on (hydromorphone, penthedrone, MDMA, amphetamine, synthetic cannabinoids, DXM and some other stuff). I had 3 years of abstinence behind me when I took LSD for the first time. My reasoning behind it was, that it would help me cope with my depression, and somehow change my life for the better. And if I had to pinpoint the most important thing it's taught me, it's that I don't need any drugs to become a better self.

But guess what? 6 months later, and I am still depressed. So what does my pitiful, junkie brain come up with? DMT. So I take it once again thinking that it will somehow change my life for the better. And once again my conclusion from the trip, is that in order to beat depression, I need to work hard, every day
once again my conclusion from the trip, is that in order to beat depression, I need to work hard, every day
.

Two days pass and I take shrooms. I am currently under the influence. There is a lot of rumors around psychedelics, saying they can change ones life for the better etc. Sure, they might be beneficial to some. But if you are an addict, be smarter than me, and realise, that your issues will not magically solve if you take some substance. If you are an addict you have to work hard every day to become a better self. To me the worst thing is that it's boring. Everything that makes you better is boring. Studying, applying for a job, talking to people, therapy, it all requires hard work, and a vision of taking a drug and solving it just like that, is much more tempting.

I am sorry for any possible language mistakes. I am Polish so English is not my first language.
