DOSE:
10 mg oral Pharms - Escitalopram (daily)
2 caps oral Mushrooms - Panaeolus cyanescens
BODY WEIGHT: 130 lb
A quick introduction: I was diagnosed first with severe depression, then with bipolar disorder with extreme highs and lows. I was put on many kinds of meds, but escitalopram oxalate (antidepressants. Stuff like Lexapro) was one I was on for the longest. It works to raise serotonin levels, but if I skip a dose, I could become severely depressed. I have tried magic mushrooms in the past, but I had just been introduced to pancyans at this point. I heard that it creates a sort of clone of serotonin so you won’t feel a crash. Of course, I wanted to try this.

Me and my girlfriend decided to take a small staycation outside of our city of residence. We took my motorcycle to a nearby university. We wanted to trip there. I took my antidepressant in the morning, so it was already setting in. The days prior we had been having a rough time. New jobs and stress with work were really getting to us. We needed a break.

Here are the doses: 2 caps of pancyan shrooms and a pinch of the crushed bits in the jar. We both made sure to take the same amount. I also had 10mg of escitalopram in me. I believe I was also on Lithium that time but I cannot confirm because my meds change so often.

So we arrived at the university and found a nearby park. It was drizzling a bit but there were covered benches. We took the shrooms and waited. I noticed that they started kicking in faster than my cubensis of the past. The familiar tummy pains came in waves. It hit me faster than it did my girlfriend, but only by about 10 minutes. She started looking at me and everything around her was breathing. We laughed and laughed and then she stopped. She told me “those frogs are singing” and she started humming a tune. There were no frogs. She was amazed to find that out. We laughed some more and then we had a lovely talk about how much we appreciated each other. The rain got heavier so we left.

[Erowid Note: Driving while intoxicated, tripping, or extremely sleep deprived is dangerous and irresponsible because it endangers other people. Don't do it!]
I drove my motorcycle in the rain and we decided to look for a place to stay for the night. Took us a while but we found a place. We checked in and while we stood at the elevator, I asked her if she felt an earthquake. She said no and I realized it was just the vibrating, tingly feeling in my body from the shrooms (this happened with my friend when I gave him some as well). We got into the room and we’re both instantly in awe with the decorations. We saw faces where faces weren’t supposed to be. Colors were so vibrant. I watched her look around and I felt so peaceful.

To keep this kind of short, I want to summarize all of my feelings. I felt the happiest I’d ever been all month.
I felt the happiest I’d ever been all month.
There were times where I felt that nature was the greatest gift we have ever been given. I also felt so much love for my girlfriend. All of my insecurities and worries washed away. I cannot tell you how many times I told her I loved her that day. The effects lasted about 4 hours and they were magical. This is why I call this kind of shroom “happy shrooms”. The next morning I woke up from a great sleep and had a nice hot shower. I took my antidepressants and I felt relaxed. It is still an experience I look back on. It was wonderful.
