The first time I tried nutmeg the experience was rather amazing. I’ve had some really nice experiences with cannabis after that but almost nothing comes close to this one.

I was waiting for my then girlfriend to finish her piano class at this grand musical school, and we went to the basement of the building. We had this bag of ground nutmeg of 23 grams, and we took turns taking one spoonful at a time with some juice. The taste was obviously rather terrible but we got it all in. After that we went to this coffee place and had some lattes I guess. The sensation was a bit nauseating but nothing too bad really. We were really eager to get some sensations. After the coffees we left the place towards the bus stop to get home. Right then the nutmeg started to hit like nothing before.

I was looking at these buildings I’d seen before for hundreds of times, but never seen them like now. Everything seemed totally NEW. The ground looked completely ridiculous after the rain, being so shiny. We got in the bus, and stuff started getting out of hand, at least in our minds. The sound was extremely accentuated, and I was whispering to my girlfriend ”why is everybody talking so loud?!” We were whispering all along. When we got to our bus stop we got out and started walking towards our homes. At that point we pretty much lost our ability to speak. Both of us had the same problem: We could only, speak, with, one, word, at, a, time. Everything slowed down. I got her home and went to my place.

Next day I felt a bit groggy but nothing crazy really, no weird dreams or any kind of ”hangover”. The experience was so nice with zero downsides I wanted to do it again, and have done it a couple of times after this one. I’ve mostly felt sleepy, nothing crazy, with the same amount of ground nutmeg. I wish I could have that first time feeling again. I guess it depends on the atmosphere a lot.
