DMT & Beer
Citation:   elysiangreen. "Microdose: Consciousness and Freedom: An Experience with DMT & Beer (exp112299)". Erowid.org. Sep 12, 2018. erowid.org/exp/112299

DOSE:
  smoked DMT (extract)
  12 oz oral Alcohol - Beer/Wine
BODY WEIGHT: 125 lb
**Note: this is a microdose experience, so obviously I wasn't comatose, and still had motor functions.***
**Features: Out-of-body, heightened perception, ESP/empathy **

It was my first time extracting DMT from powdered mimosa hostilis bark. I did so from 50g of the substance. After extracting about 2 cups of precipitate (naphtha + DMT) I froze it in a mason jar which I transferred to a square plastic container. Eager to try the substance, I poured the liquid into a separate container and scraped the crystals from the bottom of the container into my pipe. I was on the computer at the time searching tips for first-time DMT users.

The first thing I noticed is that my perception was much clearer, and details were heightened. The color of the webpage background which in my ordinary perception I'd notice as black, was a dark gray that almost appeared soft and fuzzy. There were new textures to colors that had never appeared before. I looked around the room and noticed that the box for the light switch, for example, was crookedly attached to the wall. I went into the bathroom, attached to my room, and noticed that the reflection of my walk-in closet appeared very prominent, almost like a hyperspace dimension portal. My hands, typing on the keyboard seemed detached from my consciousness. I could almost experience the feeling of consciousness as a sensation; I could feel the energy that emanated from my body and from my hands. My hands appeared more luminous than usual. I walked outside and across the living room, and my legs appeared to move of their own accord. I did not feel attached to them.

During my micro-trip, I thought of individuals I knew who had made an impact on my life in the past two years or so. I could vividly perceive their emotions and mind-state; their aura. I could experience the depression of one individual. I could also sense the frustration of my roommate across the hallway, although, unlike in previous years where I could not control my empathy, I didn't feel as if I was unconsciously contaminated by others' emotions. I merely sensed others' emotions but it didn't affect my own. Mine was still stable.

I felt perfectly calm, peaceful, and upbeat throughout the experience.
I felt perfectly calm, peaceful, and upbeat throughout the experience.
Normally, I feel very nostalgic about my grandmother, the person I love most in the world. However, during the trip, I felt eager to escape her nurturing, very controlling influence, and make my own neutral, independent way in the world.

The entire microdose experience lasted about 40 minutes. While under the effect of DMT, I drank a 12 fluid-ounce bottle of beer, which may have heightened some of the effects of the entire experience.
