It was around mid august and I was full of anxiety. My cousin had just been recently arrested, my father is being even more hateful than usual, and school was starting soon. So in order to keep my sanity, I turned to the Hydros I had stashed (I had about 50 5mg pills marked ip-109 stashed in a dvd case in my room, just for emergencies). What proceeded was a week-long Vicodin and Percocet binge in which I almost died of an overdose towards the tail end of the binge. This report is of the first night of the binge.

I decided to start the night off (it was about 7:30 in the evening) by snorting a few lines. I crushed four of the pills and I cut myself about five fat lines. I rolled up a dollar bill to snort them with. After about twenty minutes I was feeling pretty good, so I snorted another 4 pills worth of lines and swallowed 2 pills. I made sure I went into this with an empty stomach and low tolerance, so this was an extremely intense high.

One thing I love to do is talk to people on opiates, so I hit up a couple of my good drug pals, and this girl I had a romantic interest in. We got to talking and I told her how I regret trying certain drugs, and she surprisingly could relate. She was a heavy smoker, something I never knew about her. After that night we hit it off and dated for a while, and most of my romantic approaches since then have been an indirect result of some form of opium.

Soon the clock read 6 AM and my new found love interest fell asleep. Around this time my non drug friends were starting to wake up so I decided to have a couple conversations with them. I went out for a cigarette and then went to sleep around 8 AM.

This isn't the first of many experiences I've had with hydrocodone and similar drugs, however it was one of the most memorable. I've used opiates around once a week since that time. That experience is what turned me on to the true powers of this wonderful substance, and I don't see me stopping in the near future. However this was the same binge in which I almost died. This substance is wonderful when used responsibly and in moderation.
